I was wondering if anyone knew who is known as the "Professor" in magic.

For some reason it is a very popular question, though I can't think why, there may be very good magicians out there who don't know the answer whilst it would take someone who knows how to use a search engine a matter of seconds to find out.

The other form of this question is 'who is the man who fooled Houdini?'.

The answer is ridiculously easy to find on Google, but if people are desparate enough to get in to these 'secret' areas, they will do so anyway.

I cannot think of a question which would fish out an 'imposter'...

Perhaps: '7th word, page 186, RRTCM'

Presumably RRTCM will be on most the shelves of many of the Magi out there - I wonder which book is on every shelf out there to make such a question work?
