Well you haven't figured it out.

this one requires a gimmick.

yours is probably better.

Just for the ongoing 'What bottle can you use for this?' discussion, there's a 'Feel Good' juice drink that works.
http://www.bevnet.com/reviews/feelgooddrinks/
It's smaller than the American thing Parker uses (about half the size, I'd guess), and the labels are plastic rather than paper (which is a detail). However, it's glass, you can use a 2p piece with it absolutely fine, and it's available all over the place - I originally got one from the newsagent's across the road, but I saw them in Tesco on Saturday too.

Magicmattman, it might have escaped your notice mate but this is a 9 page thread, probably the longest here on any single trick. As such it represents a veritable FAQ on Passin Thru. Read from the beginning and you'll find everything you need to know very quickly.

Yes u can do it with a borrowed bottle and a borrowed coin, BUT you still need the extra thing, actually 2 things. Hmmmm yes, its is possible to do it with the liquid inside, if its water or something thats clear and see thru liquid, that is. Have not tried and Kevin never mention using liquid when doing this trick. Its better do it without, just for the sound effect after you have penetrate the coin into the bottle. I am using a empty bottle.

magicmattman.. magic is what you make of it..

This is a killer effect if you present it right and I have had some really good faces on people when i've done it.

Just remember.. the trick is only 30% of it.. presentation is the rest. Just look at all those "simple" magic effects that have been around for years that still look fresh and exciting, and wow people, just because they have been presented in a new way.

As for moneys worth.. Well yes and no. Yes.. it's a bit expensive for what you get but then Kevin has put a lot of time into developing this effect and the handling. I don't begrudge paying him for his time.. after all it saved me hours of trying to work out how to do this myself (does this mean I'm lazy ?)

Anyway.. hopefully you'll perform it.. get a good reaction and that will make it all worthwhile.

Agreed, the large percentage of any effect is the way you present it. It is YOU who make it magic by giving a smooth and confident performance. Kevin Parker makes it look good because he is confident performing it. You need tp practise and think about patter and presentation. Too many people spend time learning the 'mechanics' of effects and not enough time perfecting presentation and patter.

Isn't it time this thread was locked? There's nothing more to add about the effect that hasn't been written three times already. I'm honestly trying to restrain myself from hitting caps lock and screaming here, I've had enough of people repeating the same questions over and over, and what really really gets me is the adundance of posts from people that have been fooled enough to buy it then decided that actually it's quite simple and not that fooling at all so they won't perform it. It's an excellent trick. People are fooled by it.

Sorry I've had a bad weekend and I'm exceedingly grumpy, must be the time of the month. These things have to be said though.

Apologies for covering very similar ground but I was completely baffled by this effect when I saw the demo and having bought it I'm now delighted and in awe of the mind that invented it.

Well worth the money - I can't wait to start practicing.

I got this trick yesterday and I cant belive I dident think of the way it was preformed! I'm making some money of this trick almost every time i preform it and no-one knows how its done :D i like the trick and have used it a lot in the past day. it is a nice effect and i love two things about it (1)Bottle and quarter can be barrowed (2)You can slowly put the quarter in the bottle. Overall i think the trick is worth the money.

P.S. i just say "if you give me a quarter and i can put it thru the bottom of the bottle your holding/my bottle can i keep the quarter?" :D works every time :D and if u put it in your bottle make shure you let the spectater check the bottle
