And with his pathetic last remark still floating in the air, Abraxus turned and left the room, his head hung low with shame. "Why cant i be more interesting"? he wondered to himself. But it was not meant to be, despite his thousands of pointless comments on TM, he was still the most tediously boring person anyone had ever met.

THE END

...and lo, atomo did look into his pants, and they were empty...

is that all the might Hicks taught you? you weren't listening...

anyway, i really do value your contributions on here, i think you're a wonderful, warm human being with such a way with words...

you're a peppermint cowboy, a vain, pointless little man ironically with a point to prove...

as i say, lets not get the thread closed on account of your flirting...

Eloquence, charm, charisma, intelligence, wit and above all consistency.
You've got to admire that.

I'd advise you keep to writing and stay away from performing.
I doubt you can entertain any audience quite as much as you entertain yourself.

I rarely get involved in things like this but your torrent of self gratifying abuse made me slightly queasy - I actually suspect that some self gratification may have been going on while you were frenziedly tapping your bile into your keyboard, and that makes me feel even more queasy.

Go on have the last word..... You know your ego wont let you resist.

I on the other hand am not stooping to any more involvement in your petty ego trip (I'd hate to get into a battle of wits with an unarmed opponent) so rail away with your one handed typing you silly little boy, rail away! I wont be responding.

Oh btw you've overstepped the mark with your abuse of Abraxas there:

From the forum rules:

To ensure the enjoyment of all TalkMagic members, please follow these basic, common sense rules:

1. No abuse of any kind will be tolerated.

12. As a member, you are asked to refrain from any form of belittling, deflammatory, hostile or punishing remarks towards new members. Authority at TM is in the hands of the moderators, not the forum members. If you believe you have been treated unfairly, or have reason to believe that comments aimed at you by a forum member are unjust or accusatory, please contact a moderator via private message.

I'd think hard about that option Abraxas though it would be an enormous shame because Atomo has so much to teach us.

To swing this baby back to the topic, Kioku is one of my favourite effects, precisely because the props are so innocent looking. They look like the countless pyschology test items used in university experiments, because that is the whole point....as for tipping method...if you know your Annemann...it is all in there!

I did have a little glitch with some German participants, who did not quite understand the instructions, but we got there in the end. You can expect high quality post sale customer service from Rick as well, and of course on line support through product forums.

So, an inexpensive effect that can be used for one-on-one, close-up, and parlour settings...nice!

This is fairly ridiculous. What began with me telling Doug Segal that we couldn’t talk about the method for Kioku in what was meant to be a jokey comment i.e. stop trying to catch the method fish. somehow escalated into Doug writing his weird, slightly pompous mini essays trying to psychoanalyse me, and then abraxus starts making attacks on my character. Fair enough i retaliated in kind, but what am i supposed to do? just allow my opinions to be nonchalantly disregarded by people who disagree with me. i don’t think so.

Now Doug has stepped back into the fray, and is throwing his weight about trying to get me chucked off the site, all while making odd references to masturbation. Surreal. But i geusse thats why i love this website, it a bit like Eastenders, you wouldn't want to go and have a drink with them, but there certianly is some intersting characters.

So as Dr Todd said, lets get back on track. I totally agree with what you said about Rick's post-sale customer care, i had a little problem with my kioku cards and he sorted it out straight away. It really is a great little effect. I just tried it out on some French friends, and even though their English isn’t totally perfect, it still got great reactions. This time i took Rick’s advice from the instructions and put some distance between me and the cards, and i think this really adds to the trick. afterwards they were saying to each other " but he didn’t even touch them, he was standing over their???!". Id definitely recommend that little subtlety to anyone who has this.

Peace

Oh, you mean the wallet. I'd be interested to hear what it's like, as I opted for the Outlaw. I haven't really had the chance to try it yet, but it looks very nice.

I've just ordered the cards and a sanctum. How fast is global priority shipping? I'm really excited now.

On past experience you may have to wait a while as deliveries can take some time. If you've not received the items within a reasonable period get in touch with Rick @ Outlaw and see if he can chase things up for you.

Kioku is excellent. Well worth the wait, however long. (Within reason, obviously).

And Sanctum? I don't know which I should be more excited about, to be honest.

I've been looking for some apparently hands off mentalism for some time now, and everybody says this is as close as we can get to real mind-reading.

Kioku.

Sanctum strikes me as more a 'shivers down your spine there's more to this than a trick' trick.

I've got this recently and I think a good salad / window dressing helps. In fact most mentalism effects need a good intricately spun yarn / spiel. I've only tried this one a few times but already know that this will be a firm feature of my wallet for showing at a moment's notice.

I've found that you can suggest that they were torn between one or two common memories, and when I tried this there was that realistic uncertainty which I feigned as to whether they were thinking of a dog or their best friend.

I think the key aspect to making this believable is to stress the moment they look into your eyes and to genuinely transmit that image of where they first were.

I too got this with Sanctum 2, which I can see also working as well.
