The lighter has nothing to do with it, in fact there are routine variations included that do not use fire...as per the description in my review.

Harmless—but it does look dangerous!

Comes complete and ready to go with the professional custom gimmick (made to last a lifetime), instructional DVD, detailed manuscript, full routine, and bonus effects (including ideas that DO NOT require the use of fire!).

Do anyone have the Pyro Percetion and 3rd Degree Burn together? Can someone compare the quality of the gimmicks? (I know PP isn't capable of any card but I wonder about the quality of the gimmicks)

also how long did shipping take
thanks alot

You get a nice apology for not supplying a lighter (too risky by air freight/customs etc) so I spent 49p on a nice red disposable one but the trick will work with anyone's lighter / candle etc. Its not the lighter that does the work. Its just the excuse for getting a blister. In theory any heat source can be used for that excuse, its just that asking your spec to stare into a lighter or candle flame and picture their card works best. Like seeing things in the flames from a real log fire.

Ordered mine direct from Jason last Saturday, got the e-mail saying it was shipped on Monday and it arrived the following Saturday.

I'm thinking of combining an Osterlind stack, plus Glimpse plus 3rd Degree to give the reveal. How's that for a combo!

This sounds like a good candidate for a marked deck. You can be doing your business with the gimmick while your spec is shuffling the cards.

As we speak, I have the UPS tracking advice... I have four coming into stock on Wednesday. I have a feeling they will shift pretty quickly.

I've actually got a whole bunch of 'street magic' stuff arriving, check the ***STREET MAGIC*** category. Most is Ellusionist stuff, and so you'll save on their crazy $35 shipping fee at the very least!

PLUG OVER! :D

Oh, did I also mention that I've got some pretty rare Tiger Deck posters and Ghost Deck posters coming in??? Should be in on Wednesday too

Hello all & new video

Postby Jason Palter » May 24th, '06, 21:19

I'm just starting to make my "rounds" in the Forums and I wanted to write something in this thread, and introduce myself.

First, thank you for the great reviews, comments, and good email wishes. I worked on the idea and the final product of Third Degree Burn for just under 2 years, and I'm so pleased that people are happy with the results.

After some requests and comments, I've just added a second video onto our site! Even though I received very positive feedback on my promo video, I purposely had it edited to resemble more of a "Promo/Sales" video then a "Performance" video for various reasons.

But, yes there is now a new "Performance" video available on the "Third Degree Burn" page (under "Products"). It has the same ending as the other one does, but it shows more of the full routine, plus a much better shot of what the blisters look like on your finger and thumb near the end of the video. This is something else some people were requesting. I listened, and I delivered! lol

Also, for those of you who were not aware, Third Degree Burn is also available for instant purchase on our site; and we have lots in stock. The price for shipping and handling is to anywhere in the world. It travels regular Air Mail to the UK (no customs because of the envelope size! Yipee!), and I've been told that it takes about a week to get to you.

Thank you for your time and all of the feedback, and if you have any questions please do not hesitate to contact me.

Best regards,

Jason Palter

Hey guys. I have this and Pyro Perception in my Cart at the moment at Ellusionist. I need to get rid of the one. My question is, regardless of price, which one should i get? I mean, im assuming that you can do the exact same thing with 3rd degree burn as you can with pyro right?

Thanks for any help, Rich

i haven't got either, but from what i can make out you have to force a card with pyro, but the spec has a free choice with 3rd degree - i think with pyro you can only do it with 2 or 3 cards?

Spot on.

As said before, think of 3rd Degree like the ID, but without cards.

ANY card can be thought of by the spectator, there are no forces.
