Review

This is a big pack of magents, the berthas to use for the effects (which are worth that alone) and loads of tiny magnets for gaffing things an making your own gimmicks..(See the booklets for ideas)

Overall

I have not had any other magents but the sheer power of these is amazing but i would warn you they are powerful even the smallest ones... A few minutes after i opened the pack the small ones flew together and smashed. I also managed to smash my gold magnets this way on the mega betha. If your starting with magnets like me get this package it is cheap and tells you all you need to know. And dont put the berthas within a foot of each other because i got all three stuck together and it took me half an hour to seperate.

10/10 (because i cant go to 100/10)

PLUS: You get the great service from seige as always...

i have this pack and i have the monster bertha pack.

you know the little round gold magnet in the neo pack, well with the monster i can get that magnet to jump an inch into the air from a foot away. i s*** you not.

i will get a photo of it for you if i can. flicking my fingers i can get it to flip over from a foot away. the monster is amazing. getting the gold neo's to turn around in someones hand from inches away.

its amazing. honestly amazing.

the monster is by no means a toy... though i think it is.. untill you get within 3-4ft of a TV! lol

I'm slightly worried... ordered a 2"x2"x1" N50 neo yesterday... is it going to be unuseably strong?!

Can I also ask monster bertha owners - how do you find strapping it to your wrist/leg? I made myself a cardboard model to try out and it does seem pretty bulky... :?

I have a question about how this compares to another device size wise but I don't want to give anything away about the other device. Who would be a good person to PM and ask?

well the monster is a n42 isn't it?

last night i was having a BALL making stuff move around the table by clicking my fingers... i would imagine you would get more range i spose.

but you have to be careful around TV's and tapes.. i walked into my room yesterday and the missus asked why the TV had gone purple. i was 4ft away.

bah i will stop hyping.. but im still so amazed.

Just a clearup:

I've been buying sample magnets from all over the place. Some from abroad, some from UK.

The Monster rates as 4350 gauss at the widest surfaces. That's a lot of pull. Technically, I cannot put an accurate 'N' rating, although, I put N42 as a guess as the lowest rating I assumed it could be. It is more than likely a lot more.

I've got 5 2x2x1 inch blocks from different sources—one claiming to be an N50. Although, with my 'primitive' tests, which I've just performed, it seems a heck of a lot weaker than the Monster.

The test was simple, and in no means scientific...

I put a 1"cube magnet in a coffee mug, and placed it on our dining table.

I then approached the mug with the 2x2x1's (the Monster, and the other).

The Monster started drawing the cup toward it at a range of 32cm. At 25cm or thereabouts, the mug tipped over, and I whipped my hands and the Monster out of the way to avoid breakage!

The OTHER (N50) block didn't start pulling at all until 25-20cm.

I am not sure about the accuracy of N ratings, or even gauss ratings, as it's difficult for the consumer to accurately measure them.

However, all I do know is that the Monster is the most powerful 2x2x1 magnet I came across. Which is why I stand by it, and that's the one I sell.

I have the Mega Bertha. It is very strong. I have taken chunks out of my fingers through various accidents ive had with it! It took me ages to get it off the table leg! I sometimes accidentally get my beer can stuck to it through my pocket and people wander why im standing a bit funny, or why i keep hitting them in the face with a beer when i try to get it off!

I was born with Multiple Personality Disorder. Luckily, they are all me, they just dont always get along...

I always wanted a M5 system but since I'm in Turkey, I couldn't use coins or the other gimmicks it has. Also it is pricey.
So I'm considering these NUMS packages but I don't want the most powerfull magnet(because of the many electronics & metals are around here). I like to have a decent one which I can do some PK thingy under the table. So the Monster Bertha is stronger than M5; how about the mega Bertha? I always thought of them in this order: MonsterBertha>M5>MegaBertha.

Monster is even more powerful and ought to come with a Government warning! It's great fun to play with but is perhaps a bit on the large side to try and conceal under clothing. If you wear baggy trousers with Mega strapped to your leg and can arrange to work seated at a table then just moving the leg around will produce wonderful table top effects. Even if you can't use coins there are always paperclips, items gaffed with steel strips or other neos inside and you could also use beer bottle tops.

(edited 'cos I got the names the wrong way round  !)

The 'pecking order' of NUMS magnets is:

MONSTER: 2"x2"x1"
MEGA: 2"x1"x1/2"
BIG:22mm x 10mm
LITTLE: 20mm x 3mm

I've changed the sizes and prices over time... the BIG and LITTLE berthas are a tad smaller now, but still as powerful as the previous versions. But MUCH more concealable.

MONSTER can be worn on the wrist—or leg (albeit a little uncomfortably, but the effect is worth it) or even just in the pocket. The PK Sharpie supplied with the Monster can be influenced from about 3ft away—so balancing the pen on a table and causing it to move/fall off can be done in the pocket.

More and more effects I do use a Monster concealed under the table.

(ooooeeeerrrr missus!)

Monster...

Postby mystery4444 » Jun 7th, '06, 18:46

I recently took my mega bertha into school to see the effects. I have gaffed a see through biro and dont tell anyone to look and just start moving it around the table. You see people turn round and go what the f*** !?!!? Its hilarious but i jave been getting up from the table and wlak ff withthe chair attached! And the teachers have been confused by the loud clangs that are coming from the back of the room as my pockets slams into the table leg...
Thats why im cousious about the monster. But the mega bertha and flused books are worth it alone. :D

***THIS WEEKEND ONLY***

Buy a neo value pack, and get a FREE gaffed 'pk style' sharpie pen.

The pens are hand made by me using a genuine sharpie and a VERY strong neo, and the gaff is totally indetectible. The Sharpie has a FULL ink load, and can be used as a completely normal pen.

Whoa. That's really good deal. I was going to put an order two days ago, dissappointed by the shipping price. :(
Also I couldn't find wrist straps for Mega Bertha. Why don't you sell some of the items individually? (Like strap, shimmed matchbox, etc.)

Damn! Oh well :(

I just got the neo pack. So far I have got stuck to our fridge, our bin and our car. That was just this morning. Fun fun fun :P!

It's amazing the range of the mega bertha! I might have to buy a monster if I keep finding new things to do with magnets.
