I saw the Keaton one, the man was a master! But I did miss the second part though...

I saw a pretty good docudrama on Laurel and Hardy on BBC3 last night called Stan. It was about their last meeting and their tempestous relationship, it was very poignant. One thing it highlighted for me was how good 'Babe' Hardy was at taking a fall, how he could drag it out for longer than anyone else as he recovered his decorum (eg. slowly wiping the custard pie out of his eyes). I'm really interested in their dynamic as I'm getting a double act together at the moment with my mate Pandemonious Fish to take out to schools next year.

It's wonderful when Ollie tries to retrieve his dignity. His disbelieving, exasperated look into the camera is perfectly judged. And as for comedy business, Stan was the master at mucking about, busily doing nothing.

Yup. Nearly time to open the curtains again. Mind you, it's lovely and cool outside.

Um, confession time... I didn't actually go to bed last night. I had a doze this afternoon, but my insomnia is as insomnia does in hot weather. I can get to sleep initially, in fact I have a bespoke induction that lets me do so pretty much on demand anywhere. The problem I have is staying asleep.

I've just opened the second bottle of red, so hopefully I'll zonk out at around 2am and stay staring at the inside of me eyelids. Mind you, there's a BBQ going on over the back and there's a lovely sweet aroma drifting over. If it's still going at 1am, I think I might just pad on over there with plenty of booze and explain that if they intend to keep me awake then this is the place in which I choose to be kept awake: their patio, reeking of red wine and with eyes reddened by their homegrown, demanding that they pick a f**king card or it's the 'fluence for them!

I should be asleep soon. Just had a 'few' drinks and packed my close-up case. Got a booking (private birthday) for a bunch of toffs in the morning.

I say, golly goss!

I will be offline in about 30 minutes.

The swines stopped the BBQ and went inside. That's teh trouble with living in a nice area.... Too many manners, some people. :(

Anyway, footy day today. To the pub!

Just for any night owls who have cable and are bored (is such a thing possible), the aforementioned Stan about Stan and Ollie is about to start on BBC4...

Well I'm a nightowl again tonight.

Having fun in file sharing pointing out to someone that negative judgements are a real good way to land you in trouble...

Shall be sticking around for many hours to come yet as well lol

-dances-

Is this the Night Owl Party?

Well everyone else in the house is snoring their heads off, and I'm still up so I guess I qualify.
Is that what you call tact?
