Paul was 70 last month so isn't doing too bad for his age - he's got more hair than I have as well!

The TV commentators are as bemused as we are about the first part of the ceremony - sounds like they weren't give any real advance info.

I tend to get Danny Boyle confused with Frankie Boyle - if he'd been in charge matters would have been very different!

Oh M,

I would have loved for it to be Frankie Boyle!!!

And one day you have to let me take you for a beer or ten!

Had a lovely few days break, now back to normal. Spending a lot of time today writing for a new book and doing some paperwork. Got 100 booklets for 3epossession arriving soon and I am also getting ready for weekend gigs

Time for Mandrake to sign off and climb the turret steps to his lair, it's got a great view over the estate but those stairs seem to get steeper every night.....

Is anyone else up at the witching hour? I've noticed people have been up to 2 and even 3am before!? I feel like an amateur for feeling like I should already be in bed at midnight amongst all these night owls :D
