just visited http://www.waynehouchin.com and it turns out that he is just about to release (at the start of next year) a new trick. however, it is just a stop your pulse trick...do you think it is a brand new method? as I doubt people will be best pleased if it is the same old method used in loads of other tricks...and how the hell could there be a whole dvd on it?

Look at it this way, would you rather have a DVD packed full of tricks which aren't explained very well or would you rather have an entire DVD devoted to a single effect, which is then thouroughly demonstrated, explained and discussed. All of Wayne Houchin's previous DVD's have focused on a single effect and they have gone into great depth, which I personally appreciate much more than many of the DVD's I've seen.

very true, but I am just wondering how in depth you can get with the method for this? unless either he is going in depth with the performance of it, or maybe created a more "impromptu gimmickless" pulse stop?

Well, if you stop your pulse and leave it stopped for maybe several hours then i suppose it could be dangerous, lol. [I'm sure you could think why to the people who know how to stop your pulse] but when you perform it to people it is really safe

look guys stopping your pulse is quite easy when you know the method, and as for stopping it for several hours, why would that ever be requied?

If it was required as per David Blain type stunts.... it could be done as they only check one pulse point!
