I think that Jay Sankey is a really good magician, I have bought some of his effects and I thonk thst they are brilliant! Who else likes him? I don't actually own it but I really like the look of the "Magus Capule"! Does anyone hear know if it's worth the buy? (This is my first post, I'm 13 so I hope that it is adequete, I have been doing magic since I was 7 years old, I do quite a lot of close up agic and card tricks, and I prefer using tricks with like "borrowed" objects. I just thought that I would mention this because I don't want people to think that I am someone who wants answers to tricks!)

The folks on TM are a pretty friendly bunch but tend to get a little annoyed if you can't be bothered to use the search function. Heading over to the Introductions forum and posting a welcome message would be a good idea too.

Having said that I've got the Magus capsule and although I haven't had much time to play with it the concept is good and worth buying. I'm a big fan of Sankeys too and really can't get enough of his work. Welcome to TM!

I'm a huge Sankey fan, and I own quite a bit of his stuff. Unfortunately, I don't own the Magus Capsule (yet - eventually I'm sure I will get it). The concept is great, I think. I've heard positive reviews on both the concept and routine. I've also seen some reviews that called the quality of the items into question. I'm assuming most issues were from first-run items, which were likely weeded out and revamped to perfection (Sankey is a VERY helpful person when it comes to working out quality control problems).

My only suggestion would be to make sure that the shop you're buying from is a registered Sankey dealer. I know Penguin magic is still selling these from their site, but are probably the older ones, which may have some problems. That, and Penguin is no longer a recognized distributor for Sankey magic.

As for the poll - not sure what you're asking here. Sankey is a phenomenal coin worker and card magician. I haven't seen him do much in the realm of rope magic, though. His technique and skill is undeniable, and that expertise translates well into his marketed material. His instructional dvd's and effects are top notch, and his teaching style (while filled with jokes) is clear and incredibly easy to get into. I haven't made a Sankey purchase I didn't like.
