you are now wondering why you bothered sending back the PK wizard ring you bought first that was too big!!!

Yup!

On a brighter note, after a bit of searching I managed to answer my own previous question where I was seeking a karate coin in UK coinage. If anyone else is also looking for some, I found 50p's here: http://tinyurl.com/e6e34 . That'll save my fingers from probable amputation as I try to make my own!

I`d be gutted spending £25 on that........glad i understand how it works.

I`m sure the dvd is good .....i `d buy it if it was a more reasonable price.

I have`nt tried it out on anyone yet but think you would need to nail the method to get away with out being sussed.....

as with all magic........ practice makes perfect.

never mind the price, buy this dvd!. If only for the amazing ring to coin to ring routine, when the coin visually transforms at fingertips back to a ring you will be glad you splashed out.

hey would the Classic PK Ring work good with all the tricks he teaches in the DVD? I understand that you can use any ring, but I mean by looking at the weight etc of the PK ring.
Thanks guys.

Read the whole thread and you'll see Bobby Cat has already answered this question and, having been through the DVD now, I agree with his comments.

Foz, don't write it off just because you've sussed out one or two principles involved here, there's a lot more to it than that! I've bought a few magic DVD's recently and, for material that I will actually use for sometime to come, think that this is one of the better value ones.

ring thing

Postby magic8697 » Jul 11th, '06, 04:23

As much as your gonna pay for this you should just get his video any questions. The ring thing is the first effect on it and it has some other great effects on it as well.

I got this a couple of weeks ago and thought I'd add my thoughts.

Firstly the DVD is really excellent and definitely worth it. You get so much more than just a way to take off a ring and throw it on again. In fact the basic move isn't even explained until about the fifth chapter, after he's gone through all the background and what you need to know first. That's detail for you. The amount of sleights you'll learn and inspiration you'll get is worth so much, I came up with some variations of my own that got me all excited (don't wanna boast too much but I knocked out my sister by turning the ring to a coin then muscle passing the coin into my hand and doing the ring thing move at the same time. It looks like the coin flies up hits your finger and turns into a ring, try it).

Secondly it was more angley than I was anticipating but discovered that in performance there was more leeway than I thought there'd be. So far I haven't done much more than the basic move and finger jump as throaway openers to ring on band or whatever but they do get gasps. Someone last night said "I'm not even going to try and work that out" so it must be effective.

Thirdly don't worry too much about the type of ring, I generally borrow girls' rings and they don't fit on my finger but you can do what you need to do more or less from the finger tips. In fact I've been practicing with the ring wotsit off my keyring.

Fourthly, you'll get a good chuckle from hearing him say 'finger ring' if you've got a juvenile sense of toilet humour like me. It sounds like he says 'fingering'!!! Tee hee!! :D

The artist who does not rise, descends.

I totally agree with Bronz, this is an excellent learning resource for all basic and advanced sleights involving rings. I have used the moves from this dvd many many times, this stuff is just GREAT for impromptu tricks, borrow and ring and your away! there is a huge variety of material taught here, and the instruction is clear and detailed.

definatly worth a purchase for anyone serious about expanding their sleight of hand arsenal.
