i keep all my flash stuff in a wooden box that is lined on the out side with a metal facia, how ever there is loads of room in the box so if it did all ignite the inside of the box would burn and i wound cry (bout £40 of flash stuff in there including 2 igniter systems) but as its all in zip lock bags its all safe and 50% of my paper is damped! :)

right now i see a news letter to sign up too!

PCWIZME thats me!!

Need a prop? have an idea for a trick but cant work it out? Ask me via PM and ill have a look for you

Sorry to advise but Flash Magic is no longer trading. Instead, try the link to NUMS at the bottom of the page ( http://www.nothingupmysleeve.co.uk/ ), they do a good range of flash supplies.

Good point - comments welcome please.

My idea was to contain it well away form all sources of igntion. At one time it was suggested that such stuff be kept sligtly damp and only dried out just before use - is that still the current thinking?

Nasau chemical ships flash paper in the following way. If you get say 300 sheets of flash paper it comes shipped wet in two ziplock bags and the bags are put inside a large metal industrial type pail. At first I wondered why ship it that way, the ziplock bags could easily fit into an envelope of some kind and greatly reduce shipping cost. Nasau responded to my query that they ship per hazard material regulations. With flash paper they have to ship wet and they have to leave a certain amount of space for possible gasses to expand into. It is against the law to ship the stuff through the post office in North America and UPS will not handle it if they know what it is. Fed ex will but they require you to purchase a proper container from them and ship it complete with the hazard warning labels that they also provide. Many a magic shop will just throw the stuff in the mail. I wonder if post office people are allowed to smoke on the job here?
