Okay, so we all know that we can't go f'ng and blinding our way over these forums; which, let's face it, is good, because that would make the forums a bit c*** (not the best).

Now you see, that censor of the word above there was automatic...and now the following idea might - no, would - be either hard or awakward to implement, but in the long run it could be a good time-saving device (if it were possible, that is, of course).

Given the relative rise and increase in the number of posts asking how an effect is done or whatever, it might be an idea to try and find away to automatically filter such things, so to speak.

So if someone were to type something like:

"Please tell me how it is done!"

Then that would, autmoatically upon posting the message, be changed in to:

"Edited by Mods - No Exposure is allowed on TalkMagic (TM)."

Or something like that, anyway. It might be a time-saving device that could one day be a viable thing to do?

It might be viable - you'd be surprised at the list of words and phrases the automatic word censor already does  !

we could just have a thread of people typing things in just to see if it gets censored.

The main problem is that as soon as anyone types a word on the word censor list, the word censor censors the word so you don't see the word :? 'cos it's censored. Does my head in at times!

guess that one's a little less self descriptive though (it doesn't give anything away, really)

Magic is real, just look around you, some of the most amazing things have no reason, no explanation but are very real.

does this mean i could make mine say Lawrence instead of Larry, and would therefor save me having to start a new account when i decide i want to change my name? ( I'm only putting off doing it because i don't want to lose my MO access )
