Ok, it seems odd to be doing a review of a pack of bicycle cards but I really like these ones. They've been out a while but I just found them, the Tsunami Green Elephants. They really catch peoples eye. I carry them everywhere and almost everyday when sitting around practicing one handed cuts someone will ask about them.
They were printed in a limited edition to raise money to help tsunami victims. Which not only is a nice thing it plays on peoples heart strings when you need to misdirect with patter. When arranging cards to set up your routine. They named it the Elephant deck because elephants are common in many area where the tsunami hit. The elephants there are credited with saving many peoples lives because they (out of either instinct or hearing other elephants in the distance) began to trumpet in warning and charge for higher ground beating a path for many people to follow throught the dense brush. (Again some more interesting patter to pull people around in.) The elephant not only is on the box but the ace of spades.
The elephant in the middle of the ace of spade is sweet. It looks great and works nicely into tricks. I've been using it as the final card in color monte, came up with new patter and renamed The Elephant in the Room.
They are a cool mellow green color (not as bright as they appear on my monitor when I ordered them) which looks nice as a background to the black and red. The backs are reversed like the black tigers so the borders are the same color are the face. (not always the case with limited edition bikes) So it won't flash that you're doing a DL or worse a 5L like in Mercury.
They also come with a blank face card (oh the possiblities).
Unlike the ghosts and black tigers, once explained people accept it as a standard deck (which it is). At $4.95 a pack I've grabbed more than a few. So these will be replacing my blue bikes for awhile.
