I think that telling the Mods and for them to keep a private and undisclosed list would be the best solution if that's they way they wanted to go.
They could watch out for further posts by someone in particular and edit them. However, does this really happen enough for it to be worthwhile?
In my own experience I've only been ripped off once by buying from someone on TM and I should have known better to react to someone who only posted a couple of times.
Whenever I've purchased from established members I've had excellent service and have posted at the foot of the for sale post so everyone can see that the seller has delivered so that others can make an informed decision if they want to buy in the future.
Maybe it would be better to have a good sellers league table rather than a bad sellers one? That way you stay on the right side of the law and don't get any threats of action from solicitors etc.
Again, you have to look how often this happens, particularly now that all for sale items are vetted before they get posted.
