Cigarette through £1 coin

This picture shows the same effect with an American coin

Name: Cigarette through £1 coin.

Available from: Magic Bunny shop

Price: £22.50.

Maker: Eddie Gibson.

Examinable: 100% with practise ( hehe )

Difficulty: 2 out of 5, just the right angle, otherwise self working. This expertly crafted coin does all the work for you.

Out of 10: 8.5 Nice effect!

Effect: Magician asks to borrow a pound coin from spectator. He lights a cigarette and sprinkles some ash over the coin, thus causing the coin to go soft. The magician proceeds to push the lit cigarette through the centre of the coin. At this point, the magician can start smoking the cigarette, the cigarette is pulled out of the coin very slowly, then the coin is examinable 100%.

Comments: I like this effect! For the younger performer, the cigarette can be substituted for a pen or pencil or even a rolled up note. The coin is expertly made. It is a nice illusion, carry this gimmicked coin around with you anywhere you go for an impromptu close-up miracle. Definitely something that will stick with the spectator for many years.

Thanks,
Kevin

Is it really 100% examinable, or does it require a switch

it is not 100% examanable without a switch, but as the scot said - it is quite an impressive trick.

Computer games don't affect kids; I mean if Pac-Man affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music. - Kristian Wilson, Nintendo, Inc, 1989..
