Why so expensive? Is it just because they are out of print?

No. Because people are idiotic enough to buy them at high prices because they are rare ;)

Why are they so rare then if they're not out of print?
Do they only run off a couple of decks a month or something?

Yeah, supply and demand. If people are prepared to fork out $-insert-ludicrous-price-here for a deck, they will of course charge accordingly. That's not to say the cards are not worth that much - they are worth as much as someone is prepared to pay, just like anything else.

Just had a mail out with some cards I haven't seen before.
Anyone used these before? Are they any good?

OK, aside from the irritating sticker,

I realised today that the stickiness the sticker left behind isn't quite so irritating if you have two packs of cards in your pocket and you want to tell them apart without looking. :)

Today I thought I'd save myself some dosh (that's my excuse even though I have about 12 unopened packs at home) and bought some bicycle seconds.
Now I have to say that after opening the box and checking them out I cannot see anything wrong with them at all. From now on I think these will be my practice decks leaving regular bikes for performance (only cause the box says Seconds in big writing).
Go on save yourself a bundle.

I also picked up a deck of Bicycle seconds a while back (I forget from where). They were pretty good, as seconds go. Definitely worth checking out.

I have been thinking out getting some Bicycle seconds. only 99p a pack, I believe, from Magicbox.

The rainbow brick they do is pretty nice too, as I have some colour changing comedy routines and these cards are perfect for that.

Red and Blue seem to be the most commonly used Bikes, but I think the green backed decks look great and I may order myself some more of these soon.

I am going against the grain at NUMS from next month...

BRAND NEW Bikes will be £1.01p per-deck when you spend £8 or more at the shop.

This is part of my
*USE NEW CARDS* campaign!

I reconed that by making them cheaper, people will actually learn faster instead of using old duffer decks and struggling with weaves, fans and sleights.

Hmm

I am so glad I live in The United States were i can get them for around $3.00 for 2 packs ,which i believe equates to about 2.20euros. In fact the Bicycle Playing Card Company is very close to where I live. :D But I do agree I will never play or use an other card. Ever!
