OK so here is my opinion, as a guy that knows a thing or two about Photoshop and video editing.
I would like to point out to you first that the 2 demos where consisted on 3 shot:
The first demo was made of two shots; the first was a fully static shot of the kid levitating up the building wall.
The second shot (of the legs levitating) was filmed by hand (notice the shaking of the shot).
And the only shot on the second demo was also fully static.
Now here is a nice piece of info for you if you haven't known already, for a novice or even intermediate film editor, it is pretty much impossible to "fix" non-static filmed clips, because the shot and background constantly change.
If you only looked at the second demo you might think he is just a one man show and that's why the film is static (the camera set on a stand)
BUT, you can clearly see on the first demo he does have someone to film him, but he only uses him for a leg-only close up and not to film the full levitation, fishy? Yep you can call it that way.
Also notice where the first levitation demo takes place: right next to a short building wall, which is the perfect way to someone that don't have a crane or lever of some sort to perform wire/cord based levitation.
So, my conclusion, which of course is not absolute but it's probably the reason for the "fishiness", is that it was a simple double cord levitation that had some computer fixing here and there (just like dear old Blaine and Criss Angel like to do).
