Just got mine today and I must admit I was impressed.
As an ex-photographer I had a pretty good idea of how this
was done. I was just unsure of what materials to use and the handling
I bought mine direct from AM about $17 less then 10 quid (real money)
For this you get
5 premade gimmicks (All different )
A tutorial on how to make your own.
A bonus impromptu haunted key routine
Make a clear force bag tutorial
Basic Card forcing
A show case of AM's other products ( all at a similar low price )

Yes the handling on the clip is not 100% perfect but what you have to consider is
Most camera men are not magicians they move around to get what they think are the best angles and do extreme close ups they don't have concepts of "angles" like a magician does.
Also we see far more than a layman How often do you see an effect either TV or live that you think Hmm really smooth but I saw him ditch x
or he must have done a DL followed by a false cut when everyone around you is going crazy.
Again another Andrew Mayne super slick illusion at a bargin price
Well worth the money in my opinion

I like the idea of the card revelation more than the ghost thing, personally; although, I tried to fiddle around with my camera phone, but I can't get a visible 7 <> on the hand... However far I go with the gimmick etc... Did you guys encountered the same problem? I have a Nokia 6280 and it is a fairly recent phone... :?

Jerome i know you are adjusting the distance between * and you your phone
but its a pretty basic focus system
Get a nice blank wall or door and mess with the distance between * and the wall as well
I did this and got a pretty good image on my foot

Looks really nice if you use WHITE as well. Anyone who owns this effect will know what I mean.

The WHITE makes things even more eerie, especially in darkened rooms.

Ghost Vision

Postby DrTodd » Dec 29th, '06, 15:40

I was sitting in the Kings Arms in Tring and watched a gaggle of teens fixated on their mobile phones and told my mate that there is this effect where you can borrow a phone and make ghostly images appear in the camera and actually take the picture. His reaction convinced me to get this and it arrived yesterday.

I really like this effect. The strength for me is the versatility. I can make any images and really script some nice ideas that may well fit the theme of an evening or the type of clientele at the venue. The ideas are limitless and you do not have to pay an arm and a leg for it.

Hands off to Andrew Mayne for a cool effect.

I bought this recently too. Superb. Excellent value for money and so easy to use. The next day I went out and got the materials to make my own and it's so simple to do yet has such a powerful effect.
The DVD is good too and Mayne's other effects all look very tempting...

If you can't be bothered to make your own, there are now five new gimmicks to purchase BTW:

As said before though, it is simple to make your own

Thanks for that. It's so simple to make your own and your only limited by your imagination. I am thinking of using it in conjuction with the BIP book for walkaround.

Sometimes but if I play around with it I can get it just right. Did it yesterday on someone and they went as white as a sheet!

This is a really scary maggic and can surely freak people out
I had this a couple of months but i never dared to use it again becasue random people keep comming back to me asking me if i could really see the dead.
Its a really awsome trick and effect overall and I really think it is a must for hobbiests like me.
Best part about this trick i think is that you can set it up at night and carry it with you without being noticed by anyone!!!
The trick can be done repeatively and the set up will reset right after you finish the trick. :)
It's really worth th money..
