Is the paper used normal paper and can be refilled with any notepaper of the same size.?
I was just wondering whether this would work out expensive, forking out for hard to get hold of refills etc?
Once you have it, is it all you need?

That's one of the 'issues' There isn't any paper as such, you use a small blank post it note which you openly and visibly place on the writing tablet surface for the spec to write their thoughts/selections etc. Post its are cheap enough and can be from anywhere as long as they're small ones - 2" x 2" or so

None at all. You place the post it on the writing surface and hand it over. Spec scribbles whatever and closes the cover, you don't open it again until after the reveal - in fact, another spec would be best allowed to open it and confirm that you're right - of course !

It really sounds good. What are people's experience of using it, reaction wise? Do the specs suspect anything or is it easy to pass it off?

i have one, havent used it on a spec yet but its ingenious, i love it!

I use the smaller post-it, approx 50mm x 40mm. It ensures that the picture goes exactly where you want it. After the reveal I open the wallet and give them the post-it to keep.

Incidentally, I secure information as I put the pen away in my inside jacket pocket. Surrounded in a pub and no-one catches on.

I keep going back to this, keep wanting to use it as its a great idea in principle but I feel here is poorly realized.

I just had to change the something on mine, simple enough job, cut down the side, gently prise apart, insert new something & glue back up.

Whilst doing this I was looking at the peek area & this is really much smaller than it needs to be. It could easily have been almost the full size. Reason I mention this is that it is the peak area of this that always puts me off using it.

I used this live a few times when I first got it (around 2 years ago?) but on a couple of occasions I fluffed out as I had misplaced the post it note or the spec had written a long word which went out of the peak area.

I can't really see a way for me to extend the peak area which is leather (or leather material) & covered by a flap where one can't get access to nor the peak activator which needs to align (mine doesn't?) & again should be bigger.

If this was redesigned to take the peak into account I would certainly buy this again but as is, its just too uncertain.

Increasing the peek area was one of my first mods.

A more recent addition was a rechargeable li-pol and better 'thingy'.

Oh someone else mentioned elsewhere in this topic that they couldn't see any justification for getting someone to write something down & then you putting it away in the wallet.

Whenever I do anything like this ie with this or my stealth I always say.

"There's a few people who like to make us magicians look stupid & in my case that's not hard! You don't look like one of them but I'll pop your note into my wallet so you don't feel tempted to change your mind"

Or words to that effect. Always works for me.
