Yes. Sounds great. It will keep the main forum magic-only.

Perhaps, but isn't that defeating the object of a magic forum?

No. This forum is for magicians, not a general chat-site.

No. I'm already fed up of the non-magic talk in here clouding the forums.

Thanks Mandrake, for the your comments and encouragement. Since finding this site I feel I have found a second home here. And especially with our broadband connection at home the house now feels a bit more fuller having you folk to talk to.

Would there be any problems in promoting and providing a link to this site from our website www.partyweb.co.uk in our community section?

regards,
Valentino

Well, we're all crazy as coots so on your own head be it!

Dunno about the web link, I can't see it causing any clash with the main function of this site, i.e to help promote emagictricks.co.uk but would have to leave that open for comments from the other mods. It might be a nice gesture to add a similar link to this site if it's appropriate but Laurence Jones ought to have some input here as well.

Any other opinions out there?

It would be nice to include this site as I have a domain ready to use, www.partyhome.co.uk which I plan to launch as a home for the entertainment community, not just magicians. A sort of MSN homepage (but with no budget at all) for all types of entertainers. So a link to a specialist forum for magicians, that actually has regular contributors would be ideal. Also it may help to bring in new contributors who, like me, didn't know of it's existence before.

Our house is completely crazy too

Come see our twin boys attempt at juggling to see what I mean:

Mandrake, I think he is asking just to link TO this site FROM his site - and not the other way round. Thats the way I read it anyway.

If nothing else I am sure Laurence would be more than happy to have a link to the store. www.emagictricks.co.uk but really I think that this is something that Laurence and Caz would have to answer for themselves..

Especially if there was an affiliate scheme, like amazon has

Valentino, as a little advice for your twins, I strongly suggest they start with 2 or 3 balls and not with 2 or 3 hundred. I think this is a case of trying to run before you can walk. :D

:)

great photo btw - you must be very chuffed with them.

Aaaahhh! TO this site, not FROM this site! I'm glad one of us can read properly - I should have gone to SpecSavers!

I'm sure L&C would love any link which had the potential to attract new business so perhaps a swift PM to support @talkmagic just to check would be appropriate?

PS I just luuurve the suit but were you really trying to eat that rabbit - raw out of the box?

Thanks, I totally agree, but do you think I can stop them! Does anyone know how old the youngest person to juggle successfully 3 balls?

BTW it occured to us after we settled on naming them after both of our grandfathers, that they should grow up to become escapologists as their joint names suddenly reminded us of someone (Harry ? Deanie)

Absolutely priceless! I have to say I really like the other illusion shown - the Amazing Colour Changing Hair. I haven't seen anything like that since the demise of Blake Carrington's blue rinse in Dynasty/The Colby's/Charlie's Angels or whatever it was!

Most important - you look as though you're having as much fun as the kids - more power to your elbow!

yup. I must say since the boys were born, my entertainment skills, and attitude changed overnight.

I would thouroughly recommend it to anyone out there without kids! Although a bit expensive. Perhaps purchasing a Tommy Cooper video may be a lot cheaper option.

As for the hair the only problem with having your own children is the immediate side affect of causing overnight grey hair !!!

It did help me get more bookings though. Last year I kept changing the colour from red to green to yellow to purple, etc.

I remember being approached in a supermarket by a client who wanted to repeat book me and had lost my tel number. He saw my BLUE hair from the other end of the store and thought a police car had driven into the building.

Beware! Baldness is hereditary - you get it from your children!
