What is it with people like this? Not only would sending videos of the masked magician most likely be illegal because they are a TV show, but also this attitude of "I want to know how to do it all for free!".
It really annoys me it does.

Welcome to the world of 21st Century Magic.
This "instant-everything" attitude of so many in our world, has been a thorn in my side for a while now.

I'm not really that bothered by him because the type of magic he does, the big stage illusions, aren't really my type of magic anyway. I don't care if people find out how to do them, as long as they don't know the secrets of close up sleight of hand magic.

Whoa that has taken me ages to read through the 3 years or so of thread. My opinion is i dont like the exposure of any sort of magic but if it does get exposed whatever it maybe illusions, mentalism or sleights i believe if your a good enough magician even if the spectator knows the move they wont see it in performance. For example the magic club i attend theres a man there whos about 65-70 and he was showing me his french drop and asking me whether i thought he did the french drop or if he really took the coin and to be honest i couldnt tell.So all in all i dont think its that much of a problem if you practise and make your magic good then no one will notice. All it does is make magicians have to reach a better standard than before. So therefore it makes magicians better performers on the whole. I think badly performed tricks that havent been practised enough give more exposure to the spectator

Ice Knight wrote:the masked magician is obviuosly a failed magician - ie disgruntled that some one somewhere kicked him outta a circle probaly for seeling photocopies of copywritten stuff (lol). So as revenge he sought to uncover all deepest secrets he knew
Thankfully he dont know them all, and the ones he generally reveals means the blaine wannabes get to find out what they want to know without bothering us
He is far frim a failure. He makes us all think about the old ones and learn new ones. HE is Wonderful. I am so proud to call myself a friend of his and honored that he feels the same

Copperfield is behind the Masked magician? That's a joke, right? Surely you aren't serious?

Note from Mods: Your comments have been deleted Joe because we simply don't attack performers like that. By all means disagree but in a courteous and civilised manner - at all costs please don't insult Val for doing what he did, he is a skilled performer and makes a living from Magic regardless of the MM shows.
