I bought them and I'm really happy about it except the two jokers arn't very nice but I don't use jokers in my routine...

I sometimes wish USPCC had produced gaffed cards in circle backed Tally-Ho cards instead of Bicycles. But I guess they chose Bikes because the back design lends itself more easily to creating certain gaffed cards, i.e. angels on bikes.

If only they made double-facers in Tally-Hos.

Don't you mean double-backers? Why not make your own?

I suspect he really did mean double facers - the smiley is the clue  .

I actually prefer Tallys. I just wish they made gaffs for them.

They make double backs, blanks etc.

1 When people talk about gaffed cards does that word cover marked decks too? I've done a quick search and can't see any reference to a marked Tally-Ho deck and I've never heard of one.

For this reason I'm going to switch to Fourniers instead. In which case:

2 Has anyone compared Tally-Ho to Fourniers?

No comparison. Tally's are far,far superior. I have the fournier marked deck and they are really good as far as reading them goes but as far as quality is concerned Tally's are much, much better. For instance the Fourniers don't fan or spread very well at all. They seem thicker by comparison to the Tally's however you can do a good DL with them.

I couldn't fan a deck to save my life and my DL could do with some help, so for now I think I should use Fourniers. What a shame there's no marked Tally-Ho deck.

Old thread, I know.
Much depends on whether you like thin or thicker, stiff, cards - I do. The plastic coating make the Fourniers stick together brilliantly and for someone with dry hands glides etc are easier. With the Tallys/Bikes my fingers are sliding all over them and nothing happens.
You're right on flourishing as the Fourniers are terrible, but for Magic, double lifts, quality and longevity, the Fourniers win hands down.

Possible bottom line:

If you're presenting yourself as a mentalist, no problem to use the F's if you find the marked deck useful. If you're presenting yourself as a sleight of hand maestro, use Tally's or similar.

My post above is very old: I soon got sick of the Fourns, and moved back to Tally's, then got sick of buying them to find that one of the borders was twice as thick as the other (though I'm aware that specs rarely care), and switched to Bees with the borderless back design.
