So would you say that a penny (for example) will be attracted to the sides/edges but not to the centre. If so it's the same as mine and probably how it should be. I don't want to put anyone off with my earlier message. It still stops watches and does what it should all in all a great product. I just want to be certain that it hasn't lost any power, if so I'll send it back, as someone said, it does have a lifetime guarentee.

I haven't tried it with a penny, but you know the X-flip you get with it? Mine flips once, but then I would have to turn my wrist around to the opposite direction for it to flip again. I have only just got mine today, so I'm still trying things with it. But I have noticed that some parts are stronger than other parts, so I guess it's normal...

What is the approximate pull strength of these magnets (in pounds)?

Dunno, I was a bit disappointed with the overall strength of the the M5, I've put it next to my computer screen and it doesn't go weird at all, it can hold ONE deck of cards in box to the fridge, when I try with two it works, but if I let go then they fall....

You must have an LCD screen then and not a CRT.
Even my PK ring makes my CRT screen freak out from a foot away.

For those of us who own raven and bat, would it not be more economical just to get a really small but powerful magnet that is similar in size to the M5?

I prefer the raven mainly because thats all I've got. Since I'm not the type that wears dress clothes all the time, I use a hoodie or sweatshirt. And customize it so there are no snags. If you have one you know what I mean.

Concealing the M5

Postby fire is your friend » Jul 19th, '07, 16:28

Hey guys... I think I read in another forum somewhere on this website that you can conceal the M5 in a card box... anyone ever try this???
If anyone has tried this does it work well???

I am looking into buying the M5 from ellusionist.com and i was also wondering what you guys have to say about the two kits...

Those of you that own this--- do you have a reccomendation as far as whether to buy the basic kit or the pro kit??? is the pro kit worth the extra money??? I would like to buy this but I am tight on money and I am also shopping for a new guitar amp which is also quite pricey (snowboard instructors like me dont get too much money in the summer :x )

Also... has anyone ever had their cell phone ruined by the M5??? If you have had it ruined was it because of the magnetic field or because it was sucked on to the magnet and shattered like the PK ring that someone mentioned was shattered earlier in this forum?

yes i know i do type a lot but dont worry im almost done

Also i saw on ellusionist.com an item called the 'spider' pen. It cant do everything the M5 can do but sounded good for levitations at least and is also $30 cheaper (sorry dudes I dont know how many euros that is) does anyone own this and if so would they reccomend this for levatations?
I am mainly intrested in the M5 for the levitations (but the watch stopping sure doesnt sound like it sucks  )

its the moment you have all been waiting for... IM DOne!!!

Yeah I'm concered with it effecting peoples cell phones and watches during a performance. can you use it on the street? its not like you can ask everyone to take their phone out of there pocket and place them a safe distance away.

A couple of the local magicians use it and Iv had a go but dont think its for me but the stuff that you can do with it is super. I mean, making someones watch stop gets huge reactions everytime I see it.

Well I got my M5. I can only say good things about it. I've had lots of fun. But I'm going to be taking a trip over to europe for a bit and was wondering if the airline will have a problem with it being in my luggage. Has anyone had any problems traveling with this thing?

i was just wandering about the earlier posts and concealing it, im asuming its sort of like a watch strap with the item in it ??? if so i thought perhaps you could always wear a sweat band or something like that over it on your wrist?? i could be wrong but i intend on buying it soon when i get the money so ill try it for myself
