Delude, physical strength is required. Quite a lot of it actually and mainly in the hands. The device has a good premise but is poorly executed in my opinion. If you wish to get it so badly then do so, but I don't think you will use it a lot. I would sell you my one but I wouldn't want to let you buy something that I knew to be piece of tat.

It works with pennys, 5ps 10p ( a tight fit but workable ), thats about it really, 20p I think it does.. ill check

I do think itis a smart gimiick and I loved it when I first for it, but it does not fit my routine and its a pain in the hands and I could do without.

Delude, PM me.. mine is brand new I haven't used it hardly.. has all instructions and boxed and complete.

Well considering the first picture is the penguin magic advertisement I don't think its exposure. Seeing the picture on their site is enough to figure it out. It's just that not everyone would be bothered to create their own version I suppose. And Penguin hides it neatly in a pen

Penguin magic have made a mistake also.... And just because pengui show that doesn't mean its ok for you to show the super man one, as that is exposure also...

Lol, I doubt Penguin Magic made a mistake. They know what they are showing, it's the way of how to do it that they are selling. And it is stated that the superman and boa are the same, aside from the fact that the BOA is more James Bond-esque in terms of being able to hide it.

If you say so mate. I'm pretty sure i won't be the only one that thinks that this is an error by penguin magic though... It shows how the trick is done, meaning it is exposure, meaning it is against the basic morals of magic.

Appreciate your opinion though, very valid

Sam :)

IMO giving the picture of the gimmick is the only way to make sure you have enough information to purchace properly in the UK.

If I was considering a coin bender, at least I would now know that the superman was easily modifiable to fit UK coins.

Superman

Postby willdeanda » Apr 17th, '07, 06:28

This si one of the first purchases I made when I started out.. I have to say It was money well spent because I am still using it two years later. Although I love the fact that the coin is signed then bent I have found the effect very effective even without signing. May I suggest using Roys "bent cent" method as an added addition of the benefit of this wonderful instrument. Happy Bending!

i got my superman through the other day...im kinda fond of it, i've had no problems with bending old and new 2p, 10p, 20p...

not sure if i'd use that often, but on occasion i know i will...plus, well, given that i live in a flat and have no access to a vice or anything, its just a nice way to keep stocked up on bent coins...

i still to this day dont get why no magic-shops dont stock bags of pre-bent coins...i would of thought that would be a good little earner really...

anyway - im quite happy with it, though for some reason, mine smells a little of a cheap 70s Vesta "curry"...

Works on 1p, 2p and some 10p's apparently we have two different syles in circulation in the UK. so be careful.

The tool shown above is a Dremel, cutter blade. I agree a little careful cutting will get over that problem.

Weaklings :D

Comments about the toughness to bend put me slightly off. But after purchasing I found it no problem. Makes 5ps look like rubber
