Just a quick note...

I officially tacked Stack Master onto the Switchcraft file and uploaded to Payloadz. The new file includes the following e-books:

Switchcraft
The Billet Machine
Billet Proof
Silver Billet
Back from the Dead
Stack Master

For now, the price is still $19.95.

Thanks again,

Elliott

Hi folks,

Over time, quite a few people emailed me that they could not buy Switchcraft as they do not have Paypal accounts. Therefore, I just listed Switchcraft on Lulu.Com. I believe they take regular credit cards.

I also believe that I will be able to revise the file for any future upgrades and that purchasers will have access to the upgrades.

There’s nothing fancy about the listing.

In fact, I pay a lower commission if you buy the book directly from my web site.

The Lulu listing is there to accommodate the folks who have been asking for it.

Of course, if anyone wishes to add a review on Lulu, I would certainly be appreciative.

Thanks,

Elliott

Elliott,

Do you have any video clips of you doing the switches? If not, is making short video clips of the switches something you would consider doing in the future? I'd love to see a few of the switches in action just to get a sense of the rhythm and flow of the moves.

As a matter a fact, I do. Long before Switchcraft, was an actual book, I shared the techniques with various friends and professionals I knew through two magic boards.

At that point, there were no pictures with the instructions, so some people had a tough time understanding what I was talking about. Therefore, after a while, I took some very low quality video footage with an old digital camera. There’s a lot of noise in the background and the quality is very poor, but I think I have some old footage somewhere.

From memory, I think there was The EB Switch, The EB Clip Switch, The EB Tear, The EB NCP, The EB Refold (I think), and The Really Simplified Baker.

The quality was REALLY bad, so obviously none of these videos will make their way into Switchcraft.

One of my goals for a future update, is to add some video footage to the book. Of course, that means I’ll need to buy a decent camera.

I took a poll a while back on the magic café asking whether people wanted more techniques and routines, or video for existing techniques.

The vast consensus was that people wanted new stuff. That said, adding video is a definitely one of my goals for the book.

Thanks again,

Elliott

Fantastic!

Forgot to say my thanks in this thread after my purchase of your excellent ebook...

...you really COULD be charging more than $20 for all that you know

(Oh, and being relatively new to billet work, what size paper/card/whatever do you recommend I use?)

I'm not sure where this question is coming from. No offense, but Elliott mentions the possible types of paper you can use throughout the entire book. He offers tips on multiple types of paper.

Thanks Adrian and Demitri.

If your hands are large enough, I recommend using your own business cards for most techniques.

If you don’t own business cards, large supplies of blank cards can be purchased by the sheet in office supply stores.

If your hands are too small to comfortably fingerpxxxx your business cards, you can cut either the blank cards or index card stock to any desired size.

The second and third techniques in the book work best with index card stock of the quality and dimensions described in the instructions. As described in the instructions for technique 3, the index cards can be either quarter folded or half folded, depending on your preferences.

Hope this helps,

Elliott

It sounds like I will be one of the last here, (but hey I'm new here), to purchase this. I have worked on Anneman's billet switch, but have looked for an easier method. I will be using my computer at work to download this. Hey, it pays to be cool with those IT guys.
