Magic tools for the ladies

Postby Lady of Mystery » Dec 1st, '06, 15:54

Is there anywhere that does props for women?

What I'm really looking for is a feminine PK ring. I've tried gaffing ordinary rings but they don't work very well. I have managed to come up with an idea which works to a certain extent but does affect the way I handle cards.

Also TTs, I know you can get junior sizes which do fit to a certain extent. But I've got long nails and the TTs just don't look right.

If you're blessed with strong nails, what about using a nail writer?

As for a feminine PK ring, why not just try a small sized, smaller style one (The original version)

The band styling is quite common and the original version is thinner as well as smaller.

Actually:

THE ORIGINAL PK RINGs are bigger—wider.
THE US BAND STYLE are thinner, smaller... but slightly 'higher'.

The US Band Style ring would be the one to go for.

even the small PK rings are still very manly, I'd really love something small with a stone or somthing set in it. I'm probabaly just being too fussy.

No worries Jordan, it was a good try.

Mandrake that was a good post, I've tried nail varnishing a TT and it doesn't stick, just cracks and flakes off.

I think www.cards4magic.co.uk do a female TT I know they do a camo one and a brown one for black folks.

Also www.hottrix.com do a latex tip that can be shrunk and molded to fit any thumb i got one and i am most impressed with it.

All though this opens the whole TT debate again do you need a fancy one etc etc when people have used Green ones etc etc.

I am master of misdirection, look over there.

We are not falling out young Welshy, we are debating, I think farlsy is an idiot he thinks I am one. We are just talking about who is the bigger idiot.

All TTs shrink if you put them in boiling water.

If the water is hot enough it'll shrink the vernet ones too but the only problem is getting the moulding of your thumb cos it has to be bloody hot straight out of kettle type hot lol!!

Another thing about the Latex one is. They can hold make up on them so you can blend them to your skin tone but they are pricey for a TT £15 from cards4magic or $14 from hottrix. but money well spent and on hottrix you get the choice of getting a soft one and then a hard one at a discount price.

About the TT: I'm confused because if a TT fits, where is the room to pack it with something? I was under the impression that a TT could be used to produce something as well as to stuff things into it while it is hidden in my left hand for a vanish.
I have one that is too big to stay on-it has a magnet in it-so I am trying packing in a small sponge ball for my next trick.
I have one that more or less fits, but I sure couldn't put anything in it while I am wearing it.
I have a book about the TT but it didn't really answer this question. It just had ways to pack it and tricks to use with it.
About the long nails: I have resigned myself to short nails because I am afraid they would attact attention to my hands. I don't think I want that, do I? Don't I want misdirection here?
