The Effect

From MagicTricks.co.uk:

Who says KILLER effects can’t be easy? 2WO FACED is crammed to bursting point with material that is both! With this collection of eleven ‘kick ass’ gaff card routines you’ll be shocking people in no time!

No matter what your skill level, you will find some real world ‘head melters’ on this DVD! From the eye boggling transposition of ‘QUANTUM LEAP’ to the triple climax of ‘SUPERFLY’ to the jawdrop conclusion of ‘PREDICAMENT’, every effect is a WORKER!

And, to cap it all off you receive ALL THE GAFFS NECESSARY TO PERFORM EVERY ROUTINE ON THE DVD FREE INSIDE. That’s TWENTY free gaff cards, all on Bicycle Playing Card stock!
CONTENTS:
JACKASS - A sucker-punch transpo between one of the Jacks and a selection! CON-FUSED - Mind boggling transpositions culminate in two signed selections fusing together!
THE WAGER - Gambler vs. Magician, but this time the gambler wins!
WEE WEE MENTALIST - A stick man reads the spectators mind...then proves he’s a magician too!
PREDICAMENT - Visually change a signed selection to match a failed prediction! 50/50 - The spectator can never seem to win in this game of psychological trickery!
BLURRED - An easy, practical, visual and magical colour changing deck!
SUPERFLY - Forget Copperfield and Blaine, the only magician you’ll ever need is Superfly!
ELMSLEY SMELMSLEY - Selected cards appear as ‘marks’ on the backs of the Aces!
QUANTUM LEAP - Visually ‘transport’ a selected card from one hand to the other! THEY WILL CRY!
WHERE'S MY CARD? - A selected card vanishes from the deck then it re-appears...well, ANYWHERE!
BONUS: ZE FLASH - Information appears on a blank card in a burst of flame!

This really is the easy way to get ahead in card magic! Let the gaffed cards do the work, while you take all the credit!

Cost

£23.99 from MagicTricks.co.uk (Here

BUT

I found out today that you can get it £1 cheaper from http://www.bigblindmedia.com/ (they publish the DVD) if you have paypal.

Difficulty
(1=easy to do, 2=No sleights, but not so easy, 3=Some sleights used,
4=Advanced sleights used, 5=Suitable for experienced magicians only)

The DVD is really helpful with this as when you view the explanations it gives you a 1-5 rating for each. The effects though are generally not too hard and so a TM rating of 3 describes it best as theer are some sleights.

Review

This is a great DVD. There wasn't a single trick on the DVD that I wouldn't want to perform. The gaff cards were also great quality (I was slightly worried about this as sometimes I have found this isn't the case with some gaffs).

The tricks were explained really well by David and Owen Packard once again did a great job of pointing out things and asking questions that people watching may want to ask (I don't think I was left confused about any of the explanations.) Their conversations were also really funny at points.

One slight problem is that, as far as I could tell, the Bonus trick, Ze Flash, isn't accessable through the DVD's menu. I may have missed it but I did check all the menus a couple of times. Don't dispair though as Ze Flash can be found at chapter 26!

Overall

When you watch this you can see that a lot of effort went into making the DVD and I can't wait for the next DVD from David (which I believe is a Card Through Window effect).

If it turns out that there is a way to access Ze Flash from the menu then I'll give it a 10/10.
Otherwise it's a 9.5/10 as this sort of thing should really be checked before letting it go on sale.[/url]

Great review, thanks. I have ordered this DVD for Christmas and I look forward to performing the material.

It might be gaffed, but what does the spec know? I love this sort of hard hitting stuff. It ain't just another lame card trick.

Yeah, some of the cards are used in more than one trick on the DVD and I'm sure other tricks can be thought up using all of them.

Ze Flash is in the credits section of the DVD. Just scroll through them and it is at the end.

As Akirafist said...DO NOT POINT SPOTLIGHTS IN OUR FACES. The whole DVD is shot with two right lights shining into your eyes.

Thanks for the review. I purchased the two DVD set Packet Killer with Simon Lovell and was disappointed in it. Based on your review I am looking to buy 2WO Faced.

The problem with Simon Lovell's DVD is that the first few tricks require some sleights. He doesn't explain how to do them, and worse, in one case he tells you to do a special move without explaining why or how to make use of that move!

I am sure if I were to continue I would find useful stuff, but it got pretty discouraging. So, I decided that I have a stack of very nice gaffed cards that I can utilize for other tricks. However, it seems as if 2WO is better suited to my needs.
