Alex - you are NOT going to be disappointed!
In particular, check out both Quantum Leap and Superfly - these two are both utter killers, and are together worth far more than the price of the entire DVD _________________ CURRENTLY LEARNING: How to Control CUPS...

i was completely blon away with this dvd ive been doing magic for a number of months now and bought this after watching the preview of blured but let me say its an excellent dvd and well taught. I havnt learned everything yet obviously but there are some amazingly powerful moves on there, ill need some practice to get some of the tricks down but im sure more experienced magicians will have no problem with any of it.
Great dvd and as stated ya get the gaffs aswell which is great |

Ok, having read this entire thread not to mention the Magic and Online Visions reviews, I've finally submitted and ordered this DVD. I have high expectations for this so hopefully won't be disappointed. I'll post my thoughts when I've watched it through. _________________ Talk Magic Reviews

This is just superb. Pretty much every trick on this DVD is great, with Jackass, Quantum Leap and Superfly standing out for me. I'm also very fond of The Wager. I think Superfly alone must be worth at least half the price of the DVD. 2wo Faced is truly a quality package in every respect. If anyone is thinking about getting this, don't think anymore. Just order it. _________________ Talk Magic Reviews

I have a problem with this DVD.
The effects are, I'm sure, great. But David Forrest's presentation is painfully dull. As a spectator, I find that I've lost the plot of most effects by their conclusion because my mind has wandered off somewhere else.
I want to sit through the DVD from beginning to end (and, based on reviews here, I'd like to buy and watch The Trickery), but a big part of me says that I would much rather chew off my own leg without anaesthetic than voluntarily watch David Forrest perform.
And Lord knows I don't dish out this kind of criticism lightly.

I do like David's style but I can understand how some people might find him dull to watch. He is quite laid back and this will not be to everyone's taste. Can't please everyone all of the time, isn't that what they say? There's no denying the card tricks are very good, though. Personally, I like David style and his sense of humour. _________________ Talk Magic Reviews

I like his style too. He appears to be more likable than some of the shouty types who host magic dvd's. And doesn't waffle, he tells you what's needed and what's important.
Watching the Psychokinetic Silverware DVD, Gerry drives me nuts. Bland, scripted sounding and interrupting with unfunny interjections whilst you are trying to listen to what's being taught.
Dave and Owen are naturally funny and explain things very coherently.
The effects on these DVD are excellent. There are some real visual stunners which Mr Forrest deserves full credit for. |

I haven't got to the explanations yet. I lost interest in the performances section.
I find it hard enough to invest any emotion in a playing card as it is, but when the performer seems totally disinterested in what's going on I'm left nowhere.
I think this might be one of the few cases where a book would be better. |

I tihnk the problem with the performance side is that it's not in what you would call a 'real world' setting and seems contrived and set-up using friends and partners of those involved.
This was obviously done with good reason and that is to show clearly what is going on. I don't see the performance parts as such, more as a 'demonstration'. After all, it is a tuitional dvd not an entertainment one.
I suggest you watch Quantam Leap and then the explanation. You'll be impressed with the effect and when you perform it for a layman, with your own style - watch the response! |

Ah, Quantum Leap. Genius. Just genius. I've performed this a few times now and the reactions it gets are... well, just try it and you'll see.
I don't often get orgasmically enthusiastic about card tricks but this one is, in my opinion, superb. _________________ Talk Magic Reviews

| Yes it's one of the best. Very visual. Blurred Deck gets good reactions for me too. |
