Review
From the blurb (with my mini-scores for each):
Unshuffling Rebecca
An in-the-hands, self-working Triumph. Triumph's next evolution. No moves! 9/10 absolutely lovely little thing to do with a pack of cards, very simple to do and just slightly odd if you play it right...

Backlash
A no-palming signed card to pocket; with an outrageous kicker! 7.5/10 I'm not a huge fan of signed cards to anywhere personally, but i can certainly see the worth in this, and i've adapted it a little to suit me, stepped away from sigs and moved onto symbols - and i admit i have used it, and will again...

Angel Case
A diabolical utility item designed to switch small objects. Perfect for spirit writing! 8.5/10 very sneak there sir...can't say much with tipping it, except....sneaky!

Zen & The Art of Boomerang
Toss a card high in the air, catch it in the deck and it splits its mate! 7/10 hmmm i kinda like this, I'm a great tosser  and I'm sure some will agree! so this effect boils down to your ability to throw a card as mentioned in RRTCM/Expert Card Technique (if you havent got these - naughty naughty!

Flesh
Pieces of a toothpick magically and visually jump from hand to hand!
 7/10 yeah, quite a nice little impromptu thing to do, seeds from grapes works well i've found...as does fluff from belly buttons...

Impromptu Nightshades
Paul's classic Nightshades on the fly; borrow a buck and watch George flip his shades! 6/10 probably just cos its not for me im marking it down by a point or two, but its gimmicky in more ways than one...

Buck Naked
What a scam! One of the greatest bill swindles ever conceived! 7-8/10 very nice, quite a cheeky little thing....might well work with billets too, though havent tried that out yet...

The Shape of Astonishment
You have to see it to believe it; the imprint of a quarter in a piece of foil changes instantly from heads to tails! This will really kick you. 9/10 i was surprised at myself, as i really liked this - lots of room to change the presentation to suit you sir (or madam)...

Fizz Master
Cause the carbonation to travel from one soft drink to another! just not for me, so i cant really mark it practically...seems to be fun though...meh

Overall
I did enjoy this dvd, what i didnt like were the inbetween bits, they seemed to be there to pad out the dvd for some reason (when it needs no padding)...there's these strange pre-arranged but "seemingly" inpromtu discussions from the people that feature in it...

Especially one woman in it, who appears to be dressed from 1984, in her earlier 40s but with the apparent brain power of a 4 year old. At one point, she can't even spell her own name properly...

Good quality footage, well explained. If Mr. Harris has any sense, he's included a few effects from each book (which i havent got so cant say!) but regardless - i enjoyed this dvd, i found some useful effects on this...

a sturdy 8/10 from me...available via most good online magic shops...

I've got all 3 books, and I must say there is even better material in them that's not on the DVD. This DVD looks wicked, but the books are awesome. Buy them.

Now.

I liked this video also. The girl dressed like she lived in 1984 was probably because the video was filmed in 1984. My favorite effect was the shape of astonishment also.

Sorry to resurrect and old post but I was looking through the index and the index reminded me that I had this - VHS!!

I had forgotten how much fun it was!

UKtv Gold for Magicians!!! :D 8) :D

There were a few things on here which I had forgotten especially:

Unshuffling Rebecca - I watched Talk about tricks with Joshua Jay and saw the French Guy whos name escapes me doing his poetic unshuffling routine. The style of his routine is fantastic but very long winded for my style - This effect done with a shorter version of that patter would work very nicely for me and is on my 'to do' list!

and Flesh - Simple, direct and effective - how had I forgotten about it? An easy transpo and great to do in the curry house with those multicoloured pieces of rice! Impromtu Wonderfulness!

:D
