I agree that it's an excellent book. I've had it for about 6 weeks and am following the Study guide that is posted on here. I knew a few basic sleights before I picked this book up, but this book has really opened my eyes to the wide range of sleights and tricks that use coins. I am loving every minute of this book and would recommend it to anyone, beginner or expert, as it is so jam-packed!

James, 19, Lifelong student of magic and will carry on learning for the rest of my days if I'm a very lucky boy.

Bobo has been a staple reference in my library since the mid 1970s...the sleights are great and can be combined in wonderful ways. There is a nice section on coinc boxes as well. After Bob, I can recommend Roth's Expert Coin Magic.

It's a very very good book. I'm currently re-reading it for the third time at the moment.

I am glad to see Opie's study guide is useful for our first poster from Wales.
It is a splendid thing to see that Opie is some use to humanity after all.

Ok. So, I NEED this Book! I'll try to find here in Brazil, though I think I'll not find it in Portuguese.

Bobo is not just about coin magic, although that may seem to be it.

Careful reading will also reveal timing, pacing, routinining, etc.

Every brach of magic should have such a wonderful book!!!!!!

Don't read it at your peril!!!!

cheers,

As Lady of Mystery has pointed out before, much of what can be done with coins can be performed with sponge balls. Many of the sleights are the same.
There is so much in Bobo and it will take a good while to master it all. The best magic books seems to be the older standards and nothing has really surpassed them.
