No Ring Ring Hank

By Fabric Manipulation, Price: $55.00

Imagine making a ring vanish from a silk in the cleanest way possible! This wonderful utility provides you with a versatile tool for vanishing a ring for any kind of spectacular future revelation, such as Ring in the Next of Boxes or the Ring Casket.

No Fake Ring
No Concerns about picking the right ring
No Switching-use only the borrowed ring
No awkward handling
No tangled strings
100% silk!

Review:

I saw this first advertised in The Linking Ring and ordered one on line. You get to choose the colour and Lynetta Welch makes them by hand for you. It took about three weeks, but the wait has been worth it! The level of sewing is fantastic and the silk material (I chose red, which is a nice burgundy) is a beautiful paisely pattern.

There are two vanishes possible (1) standard vanish from underneath the silk as in many effects, and (2) visible vanish from the outstretched silk on the palm of your hand.

The retrieval is perfectly natural and the handling is made easy by some extra features added by Lynetta to let you find your way around the silk.

I regularly perform Ring in the Nest of Boxes and this silk will replace the one I am currently using. The spectator hands me a ring (any ring will do now!) and I hand them an envelope. The ring vanishes and they find inside the envelope a certificate of insurance and a set of keys. I usually produce the ring from the nest of boxes later in the set to build dramatic tension.

In addition to a parlour or small-stage setting, this utility can be used close up and for table work. I can imagine a nice 'ring to pocket', 'ring to wallet', or 'ring to Ring Casket', all of which would be quite effective with this new utility.

I rate this one highly! 10/10.

Overall, it is $55 plus postage from Las Vegas, but it is hand made in 100% silk and the work on this is top notch. With proper care, it should last a lifetime. It is very cleverly designed and easy to use with a little bit of practice.

Sounds interesting and it's a nice review. I always perform a ring vanish when I'm performing at a wedding and like yourself, I always produce it from a nest of boxes.

I may well check this one out.

Nice review. I saw an add for this and it was quite vague as to what the effect was. Sounds great.
Have you tried this out on a spectator yet?

I would not do it as a stand alone effect myself as it seems better as incidental to the main effect, such as Ring in the Nest of Boxes.

The surprise of the vanish is great and you can show both sides of the silk before and after.

In my routine, I would not spend a lot of time focusing on the silk itself. Rather, I make a big deal out of borrowing an heirloom (the more valuable the better) and then focus on the insurance certificate and keys. That provides wonderful misdirection for retrieval, etc.

In the past, I would hand the silk to another spectator to hold, but now the same spectator can hold it, which makes the effect stronger.

Lord Freddie: I have yet to test on a spectator.

I received this today and am very pleased indeed. The quality is top notch and I'll be trying it out soon.

I also got the Devil's pocket square which I'm also very pleased with. It's a similar principle but works differently and is used for larger objects. A real piece of genius.

I ordered a Haunted hank but have yet too get it, I love the look of the pattern and the professionalism of this...Although I have yet to actually see it in person...Would this be usefull for slightly larger objects...And how large of an object can you vanish, Is it simply rings? Also , the devils hank is similar but how big of an object can you vanish from those?

I'd say that you do not want to go too big. A small woman's watch might work, and certainly coins, marbles, dice, or anything about that size.

I've bought them specifically for rings and coins but looking at the Devils pocket square, you could get a ladies watch to vanish and re-appear.

You'e only limited by your own imagination and as stated already, the quality of these hanks is amazing.

Hello, magicalpersons!!!

This is an oldish Fred but I'm curious to know if people still use this product, as those who commented seemed to not have used it that much.

Any conclusion as to which is more worth buying, having possibly used both for a while, dat, or anyone else?

I was partly inspired to revive this Fred by the appearance (no pun intended) of the David Bonsall ring DVD, which, as I type this, is the most recently viewed item on this section of the site (Tricks 'n Props).

I bought one of David's wonderful RFR's last summer, but haven't used it yet as I don't have any other ring effects.
