In this DVD, UK performer David Jones shows the viewer most of the bread and butter card sleights needed for many of todays routines.

Sleights included are:

False Shuffles, Card Palming (1 hand and 2 Hand methods), Various Forcing Methods, Top Change, Double Undercut, The Pass, DL, Elmsley Count, Second Deal & the False Riffle Shuffle (Hindu shuffle) and more.

After each of these techniques, he shows a routine that can be used with it.

David is one of my all time, all-round performers and his 'social club' bad dress sense and northern wit just add to his performance.

In my opinion, this and all of his 'beginner' dvds are a vital addition to anyone's armoury if they are just starting out in close up magic. His explanations are easy to understand and follow as he repeats them allowing the viewer to really grasp the 'move' before going onto the next trick...no need to rewind to catch that moment when the magic really happens.

This dvd, like many of his others are filmed in the infamous International Magic lecture environment rather than a modern street/bar/club scanario, so they really feel like you are there to learn and not just watch someone show off.

I would recommend any of his beginner dvds as a perfect way to start your journey on the road to card and other close-up skills.
