Hey guys,

I've done my share of magic tricks when I was still a bit younger, but I'm eager to try and pick it up again. And of course after a few searches I found this forum.. I wanted to sort of make a plan of what first and how I was going to learn..

I saw the general section, but I had to search the forum in order to find a few card specific things. Maybe you could try 'splitting' it up, so to say 'categorize'. There's probably too many categories to sum up, but the main sections are good enough (i.e. Cards, Props, Money, etc..).

It might help people browsing by.. (to stick around for a bit longer)

Yes, i have seen the other threads and know your arguements, but in this case what i meant was: split up / categorize the 'general tricks', or perhaps try and give the threads an indicator of 'what' trick it is (again, cards, money?).

Under the circumstances, not SO rude?

After all, if a stranger/guest knocked on the door of my house only to tell me my hallway carpets would look better in green, and my front door needed a lick of paint, I'd be pretty hostile, wouldn't you?

Anyhow... welcome to the forum, and thanks for the advice.

It's something that's been considered many times, but it's really not that necessary. Your points are valid, but it would just seem that the forum has been this way for so long that the 'contributors' and 'regulars' seem to find their way around without any bother.

So to some level, it's a case of 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it'

Plus, it has to be said, ours is one of the most easy to scan through homepages of all magic forums on the net.

Exactly! Seige is right, it's not rude at all!. Of course the first post should be an introduction.
It's easy to forget and everybody can forgive Kagemaru for this.
He rushed to the introduction's forum and introduced himself properly.

On the other hand, I see that Copyright didn't introduce himself untill his 10th post...

Never though people would actually discuss me forgetting to introduce myself..

I see the point of "Not broken, no fix", and it seems it works out since i found the stuff myself. You wouldn't really "Not search" if you weren't interested anyway, my bad.

No bad.

As mentioned it's something that's been discussed a lot. "If it's not broke..." is really just the last point in a string of a full discussion.
