Printer freindly?

Postby kingkongkyle1 » Jan 13th, '07, 13:27

My suggestion is that there should be an option to view a printer-friendly version of forum webpages. Sure, we might be able to simply print the webpage as it is now, but I feel this printer-friendly version would cut out the menu bar, the banner, the ads, etc...and focus on the forum content.

What do you think?

If you want to print some of the content of this forum, without the menu bar etc, wouldn't it be just as easy to copy and paste the aprropiate section into a Word document and then print that off :?:

Why would you want to print it out in the first place?

Why not just bookmark the threads you want to reference?

I can understand the request. Often, when it comes to maic related material, I keep hard copies rather than digital ones. This enables me to access them at any time as well as have a copy infront of me while I try some effect, etc.

If this is possible, I think it should be considered - however we've been reminded of the limitations of the forum in the past, so it may not be.

One option is to copy it into a word document and print from there, also, you can select the text you wish to copy, and go to file->print, when the dialog box comes up then click the box that says "print selection". Provided you haven't highlighted any ads, banners, etc. this should print pretty much what you suggested.

Set the printer to print on landscape and you'll find that the pages print better.

If I need to print anything, I always highlight what I want to print and choose print selection
