Final thoughts
This book will be one that you will either love or hate depending on your views on a number of things. Such as
Derren Brown. Written in his typical humurous sarcastic style
Religion. That gets a bit of a bashing
True psycics. Get even bigger bashing
I personally loved the book. Read it in just two sittings. The book jumps about a little covering a number of loosly linked topics with a few nice anecdotes thrown in.
I would give it a 8/10 because I have no strong relegious beliefs, Don't believe in real mind readers and quite like derrens style and work.
Others would I'm sure say it is rubbish,
The book is an easy read and does not get to tied up with theories and ethical arguments, If you want an easy read on the topics covered and you think your ideas and opinions are similar to derrens or you have an open mind then I would recommend the book.
At the beginning he does expose a couple of simple basic moves used in magic but nothing that is going to upset to many people.
dON'T BUY THIS BOOK IF YOU ARE EXPECTING IT TO TELL YOU HOW TO DO THE STUFF THAT DERREN DOES, BECAUSE YOU WILL BE VERY DISAPOINTED.
To do a review on a book like this is very hard because the subject matter is very subjective depending on your point of view.
This book is at the moment in the top ten best sellers in the UK, that means that many members of the public have bought this book. I suspect that many of them will never read it. I don't think it will be about what they think it will.
