3, this is a sleight, but very easily picked up with a little practice. You could perform the basic effect with a couple hours practice.


Review

I just purchased Catapult! from Brad Burt at www.magicshop.com.
I want to start off by saying WOW. I have studied sleeving for some time, mostly with Carl Cloutier's material, but this DVD beats out any book or video that I have purchased in the past. For the first time in studying sleeving, you get told that you DO NOT need special jackets, tailoring, or even a jacket AT ALL. You even learn how to sleeve with your sleeves UP!!! There is a wealth of material on this two disc set, and at a really great price. Anyone that performs impromptu situations, does any kind of strolling magic, or street magic, will benefit greatly from this DVD. If someone has ever handed you a single coin and said "do something magical with this" you will have them on their knees worshipping you and your powers by performing these truly amazing vanishes. Now I have been sleeving for sometime, but never with this method and I was able to show some of these vanishes within a couple hours of watching this DVD. This is material you will perform for the rest of your life. Highly recommended.

The variation of the striking vanish is beautiful, the tic-tac box effects are jaw-droppers, and the color changes will take any hand-washing routine to a whole new level.

Beyond the effects that are on the DVD, the principle can be applied to many effects that you already do. Never again be left with a coin palmed at the end of a routine, or a ball left over from cups and balls, or any object left over from a transformation like pens, lighters, knives, small mammals, ANYTHING (wardrobe permitting in some cases of course). Why dump into your pockets at the end of a routine to clean up, with this material you can still get the leftovers into your pockets but now you can delay that dump and still be totally clean at the end of the effect.


Overall

This is by far a 10 out of 10 for the material, potential uses, fun to watch, expansion of the pricinple to other effects, and ease to learn.
