Psychokinetic Silverware By Gerry and Banachek (DVD)

For anyone who has ever dreamt of apparently bending silverware with their minds this DVD is awesome.

The effect:
Tines of forks bend infront of the spectator, then the handle of the fork itself. The head of the fork appears to twist infront of the spectator's eyes and can then be handed out for inspection. Ultimately the head of the fork appears to melt and become like rubber before falling off the handle into the spectators hand who can then keep it if they so wish (obviously not to eat with).

Description:
The DVD teaches the techniques and the patter necessary to misdirect the spectator during the performance. When I do it for people I don't prepare any of the forks (forks are far more effective than spoons) before hand but on the spot using misdirection which nobody ever notices. The different bends taught on the DVD can be used as individuals or as part of a whole routine, I guess depending on how many forks you have handy!

Reaction:
I think this is the closest you will come to actually having people believe that you can bend silverware with your mind, it is very convincing and visual. People I have perfomed this for have actually gasped as the head of the fork falls off or just called me wierd which gives you a sense of accomplishment!

Cost:
About £20

Difficulty:
I'd say that the bends on the DVD range from a difficulty of 2 to 4 (1 being the easiest) as some of the bends require more practice than others. However this is not to say that the easy bends are not impressive, on the contrary these are the ones i have got the best reactions from.

I can take a guess as to what the big boys on this forum are going to say.

"Welcome to TM! We hope you enjoy this community. The first thing you should do is post an introduction. You know, let everyone know a little bit about you; how old you are, how long you've been into magic/mentalism, what type of magic do you prefer, etc.

There's a review template that you should follow here: http://talkmagic.co.uk/ftopic1561.php"

How am I doing?

A mod (I'm nowhere near that high, FYI) would direct you towards a previous thread about this dvd here:
http://talkmagic.co.uk/ftopic1894.php&h ... silverware

They would also highly suggest the use of the search function at the top.

This is a really good DVD. I've got it too. I'd reccommend it for anyone wanting to learn the basic principles of spoon and fork bending.

Hi there and welcome to TM. Nice review, as TaR said all you have to do now is head over to Introductions and post a bit about yourself.

Have fun here :D
