It's taken me 5 months to get around to watching the new Extended version but here goes:
All the original material plus 5 new routines and a bunch of 'new' moves including:
Polygripped (put the 'ends' in your mouth and they visibly melt into the longer piece)
Standard Stretch (this is the move I learned when I first learned the Professors Nightmare many years ago)
Tie One On (from the endless loop you tie the 'ends on to become 1 rope)
Quick Switch (the ends & the middle swap places simultaneously)
Sliding Knot (The 3 ropes become 2 and you tie a knot on which then slides up & down the ropes and then the spectator unties the knot to show 2 ropes again)
Astro Knot - (a move by Flip where, from the endless loop a knot appears in the rope)
Finger Cut (no explanation needed !)
Hyper Ring (ring on rope routine)
My comments:
Fabulous ! I did 'waste' money by buying the original version as I now have both. If you want to buy this for the first time then just buy the extended version.
All the new moves are great but to be honest I will only use one of them (Tie One on) in the routine I do (as a replacement for another move) as I already had to cut the routine down in real life performance as I noticed the audience switched off after a time.
The danger is that all the original and new moves are so good you just want to use them all !
There is enough material here to come up with endless different routines. Treat it as a rope workshop/tutorial, learn all the moves and come up with your own routines.
The only negative comment is that the 'extras' section on the DVD is a waste of time. I expected something magical but it is just Richard Sanders eating a muffin ! Not sure why he included it other than having a warped sense of humour.
My rating: 11/10
