I read this, that's the reason I was asking about the deck....

Seige: that method sounds really impressive!

seige wrote:I also notice there's a lot of 'fishing' for the method going on. I won't go into details, but you're all on the wrong lines entirely. "Can the wallet be used with Heirloom?"... WHAT SORT OF QUESTION IS THAT?

Seige - DO NOT lump me in with the people that are trying to tear the illusion apart and figure out the method. My 2 questions are LEGITIMATE questions.

I am considering BO & Heirloom as immediate, near-term purchases and the combination of the two and specifically the WALLET (as stated in my previous post) is a factor for my routine. I currently use a different wallet to handle several illusions and carrying around 3 different wallets (if that is the reality) would affect my performance and how i prepare/setup.

2. Again, the jacket question falls into the same category as above. A legitimate question based on my personal environment for performing.

I have been invovled in magic for many years, and maybe unlike most, i appreciate the time and effort it takes for a magician to come up with an illusion. I may be curious as to a method, but i accept it and understand that i am paying more for their creativity and the balance for the cost of creating the gimmick/hardware.

Thirdly, in the BO video, one of the effects DOES use a deck of cards (as stated by another member here). Twice now, you've stated rather defiantly (or that's the way it comes across on paper) that you don't use a deck of cards, when the creator's video clearly shows it.

Seige, On a side note, i may have only posted a couple of times here and may not have a lot of 'cred' yet, and i really respect you standing up for the product. I know if i were Mark or someone else not able to defend their 'baby', i'd be appreciative. And, I agree that it appears like many are fishing here, but please don't make assumptions about everyone on this board.

perhaps an e-mail to mr oberon would yield better/quicker results, he's a nice enough guy, he'd probably tell you what you need to know, and he'd only tell you as much as he feels comfortable telling you without you having bought it.

Custom R&S decks made to specification - PM me for details

Various issues to do with this effect are discussed openly on other forums, magic cafe included. The effect is pretty much what is says it is on the clip provided. If that's the kind of effect you want to do, buy it. If you think it's too highly priced, buy something else.

You do not need a deck of cards to perform BO.

the deck used in the Video demo is part of different routine explained on the dvd supplied.

Yes, and that particular presentation is really very clever.

Don't fret, BUY IT!

Hey Gochos,

I agree. I should have clarified, that you don't need a deck to make Bang on work, but you do need one for one of the particular routines (as shown in the video). - That's what i was getting at. Sorry if that didn't come across in my above post.

And i intend to purchase it. One of the small shops here in LA had one left and said the second he gets them in, they sell right out.

Thanks!.

Using a deck, asking the spectator to think of a card and then try to find it in the deck... this is a variation from the original methode. It's not THE Bang On performance.

Again, if you buy Bang On, view the DVD, you will understand. It's difficult not to give too much away, but you don't need a deck or anything besides your BO wallet and the card in the envelope. You can pop the card out on a table or in your hand. You can show that the envelope is empty, but in my experiance, there is not much talk after you pop out the card. The spectators are speachless most of the time. :)

I have had this about a week now and do not regret it.

[edited by mods]

It is expensive but given what you get all in one package you would be hard pushed to put it together for much less, and by buying the package Marc gets his bit!

This is a quality trick that plays very well.

If you perfrom in the real world get it.

I know the blurb for the trick says it's any of the 52 cards.

Now I know this is a silly question but legit as well I feel

Can you really name any single card in the entire deck? I feel I'm going to buy this and a yes to that question will sway me completely.

I'm just wondering if you're going to have to give it the "think of a difficult card" line. please PM me if this will step the line into the secret

Thanks

As has been prevously stated (at length!) the spectator can choose ANY of the standard 52 playing cards, and that card alone is removed from the envelope inside the wallet. Nothing else in the wallet, nothing else in the envelope.

The reason this effect works so well is that it is indeed 'bang on' every time. A card is merely thought of, and it appears.

Now that's magic!

[edited by mods - note it was exposure and you just made it worse by highlighting the fact for everone to pick up on. Thanks for pointing it out, but in future please could you pm your concerns to a mod, who hopefully will deal with it. Thank you]

Isn't this exposing a little? I already know something I didn't know before... :?
