Frame of Mind – Michael Sibbernsen - Review
msibbern@cox.net

Price : $100 –now sold out?

Difficulty : Various. Some of the effects are almost self working. Others need practise and patter, but are not beyond the abilities of me, so anyone, with effort, should be able to do them. They will be as good as your presentation.

They say :
After five years in the making, I am happy to finally make
available, to a selected few, my finest work in mentalism.
The book will be limited to only 100 signed and numbered
copies, never to be reprinted. I trust that you will find
the material in the book well worth its asking price. If
not, please let me know within a week of your purchase. Your
satisfaction is very important to me. The cost of Frame of
Mind is $100, which includes PayPal fees and Priority
Shipping anywhere in the world. Non PayPal purchase are
methods available upon request.

Frame of Mind contains 15 mentalism effects ranging from
pseudo-psychometry and metal bending, to miracle-class feats
of natural magick. You will find impromptu close-up effects,
stage routines, and some valuable “utility items” awaiting
your own creative applications.

Approximately one third of the book has been compiled from
previous sources, while the majority of the material has
never been openly published.

Frame of Mind is a 44 page 8 1/2 x 11 spiral bound workbook,
and contains over 60 illustrations. Meticulous crediting is
provided, and full permissions granted, whenever required.
Unrestricted performance rights are granted to the possessor
of the original and printed book.

Contents Include:

ESPieces
Time Warp
AAA Book Test
Stellar Prediction
Multiple-Out Envelope - Utility Item
Knowledge From Fire
Sibbernsen Stack - Utility Item
Magician’s Dream
Tine Warp
Astro Board
Quizdo
Pretelus Perfect Envelope - Utility Item
Wait Test
An Experiment in Biomagnetism
Spirit Soda

I Say :

What you get is a 44 page, 8 1/2 x 11 spiral bound, and beautifully printed book. This is now sold out, and rightly so, but do scour the used market, should anyone be mad enough to sell theirs.

Fifteen effects, all different, all appealing to different styles. Some you will think clever, but may not use, others you will think clever and will. This is all clever stuff, beautifully presented with the aid of monochrome drawings and photographs. And this is no rehash of others ideas. This is pretty much all new, different, and refreshingly clever.

There is an excellent ESP effect, and a crafty watch effect, Time Warp, that is so brilliant, it could be sold as its own e-book – especially in today’s market. An item called the Stellar Prediction, is just that, and shows how Michael has used his work place experiences to come up with something different. A lesson I need to apply to myself too. There is a wonderful ESP stack, and another method and effect that uses something from a car supply shop. This is lateral thinking at its best.

The content is diverse and inspirational, the methods sneaky.

$100 ( more now ? ) is justified on the content, the limited availability will only push up the price. Excellent!

Overall :

A joy to read. An inspired book. Solid effects that are so clever, they outweigh cleverness itself.

Rating : 9.9/10. Well, nothings perfect, is it ?

Ok... I'm confused as to why you would post a review on such an exclusive item?

To make us all jeleous? To make us watch out for anything else by Michael Sibbernsen ? To make us keep an eye out for this item being sold?

Well, only 100 copies were sold world wide (I own #6) so I can see boasting rights but my real question is will the material actually be used. It was released to the real workers first via invitation, it will be interesting to see who, not in that inner-circle, puts it to use and who let's the cats out of the proverbial bag so others come to know about it.

Michael is like Bruce Bernstein... one of the better secret sources in the industry.
