Review
If you went to the Blackpool Convention you'll no doubt know who David Shimshi is. His lecture was the last lecture of the evening on the first night of the convention. My buddies and I were tired at this point but wanted to see the lecture as we wanted to see what else this Shimshi had to offer.
His take on a Paul Harris really wowed the audience at Blackpool. I've personally been able to perform this and the reaction is amazing.
The production of the DVD is fairly good quality. This DVD actually uses a microphone unlike others I've seen recently. The format of the instructions were pretty straightforward. I thought they could've done with some close-ups. Shimshi does cover a lot of ground for the small number of effects on the DVD. There are performances that show the effect in action in real situations.
I'd recommend this to people who saw the lecture in Blackpool and was impressed by his work. All of the effects are very commercial and would be very beneficial to someone starting out to do real work as a magician.
If you weren't impressed by Shimshi at all, this would probably be a waste of your time.
