Do you mean the chineese guys on the bench, they are all just laughing till they cry???
That was the thing that I was thinking of earlier, it shows he understands how to get what he wants, he's just a normal guy (as is everyone, er apart from Charlie Manson etc, lol). I thought him ambling about and laughing at his "just got out of bed" hair after his 44 days stunt was a good one to spot this.
I agree that interview was yakky. If he was just another "normal" magician, would we know him? Dunno, I think this kind of over the topness works really really well in the US.

PS any links for these cheap prices peeps?

That's the one - real trouser wetting stuff! Perhaps he needs to do a Kylie/Madonna and just reinvent himself again? Might work!

Hi Luke - welcome aboard the Looney Train!
£2.99 is a darned good price and, despite all the crticism that we (I!) hurl at David, the book is worth reading - at £2.99 anyway!

I'm about 2 thirds of the way through the book now and I must admit it has given me quite an insight into magic.
David has a good persona for magic, its just a shame that he has allowed himself to deteriorate into a laughing stock. (Having said that though, respect to him for his stunts because I dont think I could have done them). But if what he says is true and everyone close to him has died then that's enough to twist anyones mind and change your outlook on life so people shouldn't be so hard on him.
At the end of the day the guy is doing us all a favour because he is helping to raise the profile of magic, something which benefits us all - especially working magicians.

all good points here by the way jordan are you levitating a ball or are you being targeted by a sniper?.
were not slateing blaine at all the purpose of this section of the forum is to discuss magicians there fore you have to have differing opinions to have a disscussion, the fact that the opinion is slanted towards blaines style of presentation meerly shows that we have been following his exploits.
and remember that we are learning vicariousely from blaine.
if we slate a trick he does we are improveing on our own understanding of the trick and its presentation, so as the saying goes
its all good
