Quotes:

"Giacomo Does some of the finest and most innovative magic I have ever seen." -- David Roth

"On our recent European tour, Roth and I were fortunate to spend time with someone who has techniques that will ROCK the coin magic world." -- Michael Rubinstein

"Bertini's coin magic is not like anything I have ever witnessed in well over half a century of doing coin magic. It is nothing short of incredible. It truly looks like 'real magic.' All of his techniques are ground-breaking and far more refined than anything I have ever seen anyone else do before." -- Harvey Rosenthal

"Bertini is the best and most original coin man I have ever seen!" -- Steve Draun

"Giacomo Bertini's coin magic not only raised the bar, he is the only one who jumps over and clears his own bar by several feet. Just when you assume that the subject has been thoroughly mined, someone like Bertini comes alone and proves the experts wrong. His coin work is pristinely clean, remarkably direct, and utterly astonishing." -- Jon Racherbaumer

"Bertini, in my opinion, is the Slydini of the 21st century - his coin techniques will set the standard for today's magicians..." -- Vinny Vincenzo Marini (the Godfather of magic)

I say:
Good god almighty...that's about it really...

Honestly...

He's an absolute genius this guy...now, i bought this just out of curiosity, im not much of a coin-man, but i love watching it...i've watched it twice so far, late last night, so i've not got a huge amount of detail for you, but i think this is an important dvd....

you get:

2xdvds - one for your p.c., the other for your dvd player...

Now, the bad news first - the quality is not fantastic, but! thats really by-the-by, its certainly good ENOUGH, the frame rate i think lets it down a tiny bit - but only a fraction...and the dvd player version isnt bookmarked..i've not got a p.c. at home - so i cant comment on that alternative...

But what you get is a little over two hours of a modern day master at work. Filmed close up, at a small table, just Bertini's hands, some coins and a black table-top...

you get his routines, a fantastic range of coin classics, to Bertini's own work. And the sleights! lawdy lawdy, new ones...bona fide new sleights, touches of misdirection and improvements on old and classic moves...here's an example...

you genuinely show both hands absolutely empty, both sides and they never touch or wash...bang...a coin appears...

this stuff is up close and personal...beautiful, beautiful, beautiful...

each sleight is also shown from front, and both sides of camera angles...i really can't rave enough about this dvd, absolutely stunning....

apologies for it being short on proper content, but this really is fantastic and for proper coin workers it's an absolute gem...

Nice review abraxus, I have this DVD ( but I only got one??? ), and I whole heartedly agree with everything you say. I have been a massive fan of David Roth for years but there is a new king in town. This stuff really does look like camera tricks, the guy is a god.
One slight query would be, if this is 4 out of 5 I would love to see what constitutes 5.

it wouldnt matter if he released a book or not... it would still be beyond most people!

Computer games don't affect kids; I mean if Pac-Man affected us as kids, we'd all be running around in darkened rooms, munching magic pills and listening to repetitive electronic music. - Kristian Wilson, Nintendo, Inc, 1989..

I meant in the difficulty score you had 4, how hard would a 5 be?

well, it's all relative surely? what i might deem a 4, someone else might rate it a 3...ratings are subjective as far as im concerned...

some of the moves are difficult, but even if you dont use the routines explained, they'll have other applications wont they...

i can rate it a 5 if it makes you happy?! :D
