De'Ring by De'vo

Initial Thoughts:

this is my fist ever dvd of Ellusionist and i think i had a case of C.U.P.S when i bought this.

What they Say:

DE'RING DVD - $29.95
Produced by De'vo
USA exclusive Ellusionist

THE LONG AWAITED UNDERGROUND RING MANIPULATION & TRICKS TRAINING DVD

A tight-fitting finger ring is pulled from your finger by a spectator. Within a second, the ring flies back onto your finger at inhuman speed. This is the beginning of De'vo's core ring routine. The move is repeated in different ways, each time the spectator's eyes burn your hands deeper. Let them.

Do it for a room of scientists. Put your hand under a microscope for them. Never repeat a trick? This routine EATS REPETITION for breakfast.

Why do you think De'vo has been performing the De'Ring routine - underground - for more than 20 years? You KNOW De'vo. You KNOW he never performs anything that doesn't smack people in the face with what he is able to do. He is the ultimate manipulator and now he has finally released one of his own personal routines that he has kept underwraps for 20 years.

BONUSES INCLUDED

The Gryphon Roll - A normal band rolls across your finger tips at lightning speed. You have to SEE this one to believe it! Can be performed anywhere.

De'vo's Insanity Ladder - An incredible move with a normal band type of ring. The band rolls on your fingers in fluid motion, ending up back on your ring finger.

These flourishes will make your coin roll look like a bicycle trying to catch a Ferrari.

Also included: never before seen performance footage of De'vo performing in real life.

Price:

$29.95 :: DVD of Ellusionist

My Thoughts:

while waiting for the dvd to arrive i thought i had just wasted £20 on manipulating a ring, but after watching this for the first time i immediatly thought that this was more of a show off dvd which (in my opinion) looks better than card. after learning the foundation move i could immediatly picture myself walking into a restaurant and start the D'Ring routine(which is included). this seems like a perfect dvd for anyone who whishes to boost their bookings as this is a more suttle way of showing off to the surrounding people than taking a deck of cards and start doing some crazy cut.

The Teaching Method:

As this is also my first de'vo DVD i immediatly notice that he realy is an underground person as his face is always blured. personally i don't like the presentation of the teaching as it is just a pair of hands waving arround against a very busy background which put me off a little.

Final Comments:

I would recommed this to people who like manipulating but not to many others. YES it is a noce showy DVD but there really is only one move being thought which makes up the whole routine, the rest of the moves are just the basic move with some small difference, such as turnning the palm up or down.

Worth the Practice:
10/10

Overall:
8.5/10

Nice review. What is the difficulty? Do you need any props (other than a ring)?

Thanks

In my opinion it was

2 (requires some practice)

but i think that because i do a lot of card flourishes so i found it quite easy to learn

I would put this more at a 3-4 to be honest. I mean, yes the trick itself is easy to do...so doing the trick is easy...yet performing it is a lot harder...getting it 100% perfect ban gon each time. I have been practicing since december, and can do it well, yet still do not consider myself at the stage in which i can perform pubically.

just mon 2 pence

Love
