What people Say:
This brand new DVD combines performance footage with specially filmed explanations to show you how to pick pockets close-up and on stage. Filmed at the world famous Magic Circle this DVD really is The Ultimate Guide to Pickpocketing for entertainment purposes.
What People Are Saying:

"The best DVD on the subject I've ever stolen" -Paul Zenon

"This is a contemporary, and very complete, course in pickpocketing from a master pickpocket - you will be absolutely delighted with it. Unreservedly recommended." -Duncan Trillo, MagicWeek

"A wealth of material, beautifully taught, thoroughly presented... this disc is solid gold." -Online-Visions.com

Price:
$50

What I think:

I think that a lot of people look down on this DVD as it is a guide to pickpocketing but they couldn't be maore wrong. In my opinion the DVD teaches a lot about misdirection and also teach you ways to load card of coinds into peoples pockets.

The DVD teaches pickpocketing in two ways:

1) to steal an item without the spectator noticeing but with all the audience able to see the move in plain sight

2) To steal without being noticed, i.e prior to a stage act

James freedman also teaches a watch steal for almst every type of watch.

I've found that when i preformed one of the effects which was a watch steal with me holding out the watch behind his back for his partner to hold, got a great reaction

Overall:

9/10

A bargain! It's thirty quid from Merchant of Magic.
It's a great introduction to pickpocketry.
Although I don't have any of the others such as Chappy Brasil's and Byrd and Coats, this DVD is considered to be one of the best.
I am interested in Chappy Brasil's watch steal DVD as I have heard it said this is also very good.

Not that I know of.
Krazy Ace, how have you got on with the things learnt on this DVD?
Tried them out on anyone yet?
Only managed one watch steal, but a couple of times I have emptied someone's pockets and the reaction is priceless, though they start checking everywhere afterwards!
Beware of cheeky people who, after you hand them back there wallet, say "Ere! There was £50 in there!"

Yep, it takes a lot of nerve and I find I only do it when the time is right.
I emptied a man's pockets of his keys, wallet, phone, etc and slipped them into a c****e bag. I then did a routine where I showed the bag empty and told him I would transfer the contents of his pockets to it.
I made him stand with his hands up, search style, so he couldn't feel they were empty. I then stood across the room, a bit of acting and BINGO!

i find it much more comical to preform it where everyone else knows what is happening but the person you are preforming to doesn't have a clue.

that way no-one gets suspicious of you and everony has a laught along the way

You're right there. It's certainly a fun addition to any magic performance and as James Freedman says, you have to be careful.
I think to get as slick as he is, takes a fair amount of practice.
Have you ever been rumbled doing it?

Same here it come free with the art of sleight of hand by sankey. But stealing the show was worth the cost of sankey DVD.

I am master of misdirection, look over there.

We are not falling out young Welshy, we are debating, I think farlsy is an idiot he thinks I am one. We are just talking about who is the bigger idiot.
