Postby magicman222 » Sep 15th, '03, 02:53

Pyro Perception

Skill Level, At the end of each trick.
1- Easy self working
2- No sleights but not easy
3- Couple sleights. intermediate only
4- Many sleights. for more advanced magicians.
5- Extremely Difficult. experts only.

Price: $20.00 Canadian

The Effect: A spectator picks any card they want then loses it in the deck. They write the name of the card on a piece of paper and set the paper on fire. The magician passes his hand over the flames and suddenly reaches into the flame. Feeling pain, he pulls out quickly... then slowly he turns over his hand and people witness a miracle -- two blisters on his fingers in the PERFECT shape of the selected card - sticking out from the flesh exactly like a blister.

Difficulty: 2

Examinable: There is nothing to examine.

Review: Wow, this trick is amazing. All you need is a simple misdirection, a lighter, cards , and the INDESTRUCTABLE gimmick. Can be done with 4 different cards.

Overall: 10/10

Good review!

I have been using this for about 3 months now & had very good results from the spectators ranging from gasps to screams.

One little handling tip, ball up some flashpaper load it between your thumb & first finger when you reach into the lighters flame you can imagine the result.

Cheers
:D

I've been using this trick with flash paper on the streets of Tenerife for the last 4 months and the reactions from spectators are superb. The fact that you can do the trick again straight away and a different card can be chosen just adds to the overall effect. Great Trick!!

It's nice to see old stunts being resurrected - and this is a great example. The overall effect is quite jaw - dropping, and can be combined into other routines...

But I agree - a very strong effect. Worth the money, as I assume the gimmicks will last forever (the homemade versions do, at least)
