The Effect

http://www.danielmadison.co.uk/RIP.htm

A spectator selects a card and tears it into 4 equal pieces…

The pieces are then held between the spectators hands…

Locked in the spectators’ hands, the card is fully restored!

Any card can be used for the effect

The card IS ripped up by the spectator and then held in their closed hands

RIP can be performed completely surrounded

The card can be signed and both sides of each torn piece can be shown…

Including their signature!

The card will be restored

RIP is a PDF document ready for instant download and the first effect to be released from The DECEPTION

The 14-page fully-illustrated document will talk you step by step through each procedure from setup requirements to 5 different variations

RIP also includes a bonus effect, also featured in The DECEPTION

Please note that this product requires a deck of cards and a common PK magnetic prop that most magicians will already own. However, other alternative methods are printed in the document should you not have the prop as more or less any magnetic device will enable you to achieve RIP

For further details on this, please email HiMSELF or visit HERE to purchase the desired and most recommended prop

Review

I really like this effect. It's very direct and straight to the point - and best of all it all happens in the spectator's hands. The spectator chooses a card (it can be signed) and it is ripped up into four pieces. The pieces are placed in the specs fist and shazam (magical gesture) they are restored.

To perform this effect you will need a PK or other magnetic ring. Now before you shout me down for exposure this is mentioned on Daniel's site as well so he obviously doesn't mind you knowing it. If you don't have a PK ring there are some suggestions on how to perform the effect without one but it won't be as strong without the ring.

Making the gimmick is easy and once you've made it it can be used over and over again.

When purchasing RIP you also get a bonus effect which is basically just RIP with a banknote rather than a playing card.

Overall

A torn and restored card that is very direct, near self-working and happens in the spectators hands for £8 - what more could you want?

10/10

Wow! Great review, simple and direct. This sounds better than TORN.

Wow. That does sound amazing.
I have a PK ring, and this effect looks really interesting!
Thanks for the review :D

p.s Is this a "Piece by Piece" restoration, like Garcia's?

Thanks again 8)

No, it's an instant restoration, all in the spec's closed fist.
