OMG!! Information overload

I haven't had time to fully read the above yet. Sorry Mike, but just to let you know that I'm putting this into Quark Express and making myself a little book of information to fit in with Bobo if thats ok?

Lo and behold - it's now a Sticky. Can you imagine how much you'd have to pay for all this tuition and advice in the harsh commercial world? Cheers Mike!

Damn just droped my 50p typing this

Just to let you guys know, I haven't forgotten about you. Today I worked for an hour and a half on step 4, which will be up shortly (I still have work to do on it).

But, I also want to give you time to work through what is up already.

Regarding copying the work and using it for your own, private study, by all means, go right ahead. It is being published here for your use and it is given to you freely.

I would ask, though, that you do not copy it onto another site. I am publishing it here for the members of TM and am pleased to help you guys out. So, if it's for your own, private use, then do as you will.

I've been using your guide everyday now since we started and "I think" my Classic Palm is steadily improving and at last (today in fact) I can get the coin into the Thumb Palm position!! There is a but and that is that I have to move my thumb a considerable amount to be able to do it! Again with practice this should improve!

I've been having a go at the Downs Palm intermittently (which I've found easier) and taken a quick peep at the "Simple Vanish".

So in short I've found your guide extemely useful. I hope that everyone else is reaping (not sure if that's the correct word?) the benefits as well.

The palms and vanishes are essential to learn first. I was suprised, upon
receiving this book, how much of it I already knew from studying the Tarbell course, but it's written well and there are so many good effects and sleights in there.
Is there a DVD version akin to the Paul Wilson RRTCM?

I was just thinking through all of my routines as I read this, and I definitely think peaks and valley is the way to go. My four ace routine starts out with a four ace production, which really grabs attention, than has two okay ace tricks, and ends with a spec cuts to the aces. Really works

Not to my knowledge, no. The list that I give above (regarding the DVDs) is good, though. For example, Paul Cummins really delves into back clipping and expounds on the topic thoroughly in "Up In Smoke." He also covers the Bobo switch on that DVD, along with other sleights. Mr. Cummins is a hard core finger flinger, though...

I prefer that technique myself. I personally believe that it is good form to slow things a bit and give your audience time to relax some - to relieve the tension - which also sets up for proper misdirection. When the specs sit back and take that breath, you can get away with murder!

On a side note, I will be putting up the next series of posts on this thread starting some time this week, for anyone interested in the next level.

This is my very first step in the world of magic, and I was beginning to get a bit discouraged.
