As this is one of the items that has been on my wish list for sometime (and as Santa actually reads my wish list), I am now in a position to add my comments to what Yankee Tom said about this.

in short THIS IS BLOOMING MARVELLOUS!!!!

So, really there is nothing to add, I totally agree with Tom. This in my opinion is a great way for breaking the ice. This is simply the best starter trick going. You take the cards out, you search for the jokers - and you do a little magic whilst doing so, before discarding them and getting on with the show.

It just seems so mind blowingly fair.

"Are you sure you want to stop here? You could have had any of these cards, but you stopped here. Would you like this card - or continue for a bit?"

Thanks for the review Tom, otherwise I may have missed this one.

Yes this trick is really quite something,
and for selling this for 8.99 they are really quite daft!

BUY THIS! I have nothing more to say. :D

It's true, this trick is pretty good. But I rememebr I had some issues with it when I got it. I'll dig it out and have a play and if anything pops up I'll do a little write up.

All the best,

Just got this trick myself yesterday.

Musr say not to keen on the Joker Joker side of it. The way you have to show the two jokers, does this move actually fool people. Would be much better if you could show the two cards together.

However the LA Open trick that comes with it is superb & this is the one I'll be working on.

Just my two penneth...

I know it's been 4 years since someone has posted on this thread, but i've just found out about this effect and am really excited, although I understand that it is an updated and gimmicked version of what is an old effect by Ed Marlo ("Open Prediction"). The Magic Lab website (www.magiclaboratory.com) which is the official outlet for these Gordon Bean products (including Temptation, Mexican Revolution etc) states shipping is $3.50, and the cost is $10.00. I live in the UK and want to purchase this directly from the site as not only does it suport the creator, it is also the cheapest I've seen online. However, the $3.50 seems too good to be true, and I have doubts as to whether this would be the international shipping cost, although it is feasible, as I know that Alpha Magic had a flat shipping rate for their Flare product, for instance. I've added to cart and it simply shows the $3.50 shipping cost, but don't want to subsequently find out there is a higher international shipping cost, so i have not confirmed my order. Has anyone here in the UK purchased items via Magic Lab?

I've emailed Gordon Bean via his website, which sells his newer products, but have not heard from him yet. Does anyone know how i could email him via the Magic Lab website: it simply shows the blurbs of the sold products, but with no contact details.

If anyone knows anything I'd be very grateful for the assistance.

Just in clarification of the last post, the Magic Lab website does not state whether $3.50 is international shipping: i was just wondering if people have purchased from Magic Lab before, who would confirm, as it it's possible that by comitting to buy when I enter my shipping details (as it is a US company) they may be an increased shipping cost. If this was to be the case that it may be cheaper to buy this from a UK based magic shop.

yeh, I just checked the site to see and it doesn't state that. Pretty badly made to be honest with u. Doesn't have any information whatsoever.

Although, upon browsing the site and contemplating getting Joker Joker I watched the Monte 3.0 demo video... hmmm.. what to get...

I know! The bright yellow "New!" sign above is less graphically advanced as a bright flashing neon red light, but certainly as alluring. Of course, it's tempting to get one more product simply as you'd only pay for one lot of shipping... decisions, decisions! I'm tempted by Monte 3.0 too, but am equally attracted to Temptation (great name!). However, apart from Colour Monte and the standard 3 card monte these are the only monte effects I have and so Skinner's Monte seems to be the classic, so I figure for good reason. Temptation has the bonus of T3, which from reading up on Magic Cafe it seems to suggest that T3 is better than Temptation, although it would seem to be a slightly different tkae on the Temptation effect. Both Tempation and Monte 3.0 are examinable tho, so that's more of a convincer for me than Skinner's, although I haven't read up too much on the Skinner effect, so I may be wrong.

I agree the site is poorly made: you have to add to cart to see prices, and it only takes one reckless / accidental / impulsive mouse click to purchase. Reckon I'll sell a few more things on Ebay before making the financial plunge. But do let me know how u get on if you decide to purchase either. Likewise, I'll do the same.

I hadn't even looked at temptation and t3, gods sake, haha. Is t3 not examinable like the other two?

Just an update on emailing Gordon Bean: he did get back in touch and advised me to email Larry Horowitz. I did so today and he got back in touch. Great communication and service and I haven't bought anything yet! (Note: "yet")

Anyway, the $3.50 DOES cover shipping to the UK, so this is a great steal. I suppose I should have kept this knowledge to myself as I don't really want too many magicians knowing about this - I suppose I'm just too generous.

So at current exchange prices this works out as being cheaper than other magic shops, AND it supports the creator. A bargain AND a bonus.
