I heard Barry actually learnt everything he knows from watching Mark Lewis dem Strippers and Sven's in Hamleys. Was I wrong?

And is their truth in the rumour that he based his career on mixing mentalism and magic?

The facts are, apparently, that Mark not only tutored Barry at some point, but also takes him shopping now and then for clothes.

And rumours of the career based on mixing mentalism and magic are completely false. He's purely mental.

I'm interested in buying this DVD.

What colour back is the bicycle cards that come with the DVD? I would prefer a blue back to remain consistent with my other decks.

Cheers,

I dunno which colours are being shipped, but if you call your favourite magic supplier they may be able to sort you out with a blue one.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but bear in mund the purpose of the DVD.. it was to make magicians aware of the power of the stripper deck, but also how to handle a stripper deck so that the handling appears the same as a normal deck to a spectator when in reality you are utilising the stripper decks properties.

The effects were not as say, the effects in Covert Magic, however, they are useable, workaeble effects that have a strong impact on spectators and that is the main purpose, to have an effect on your audience, and the subtle uses of the strippers properties in these effects are evident of the power of this versatile deck.

Got interrupter by a fire alarm during this post so if halfway through it loses sense, you know why.
I thought the grass might be greener on the other side and so bought and Xbox360.. I was right!!

just to say i got this dvd today, never owned a stripper deck before so im a noob lol but the dvd seemed great and i can see why many magicians might not like the stripper deck at first site but i love it now. Id recommend this dvd as its extremely well taught and covers so much about this very versitile deck, and the good thing is the deck itself can be used in normal routines which i was very surprised at. :)

Completely agree. At first was not the biggest fan of the stripper deck. Best part about all the tricks is that the spectator can shuffle the deck at almost any point. (gotta love instant reset)

i know its great, i expected to open the box up and find the gimmick straight away but when i looked at the cards i had no idea what what was going on, they looked completely normal and handled like normal cards. It was only till i watched the dvd and found out how to utilise this great tool that it all made sense. And yeh the resets so easy to make it back to "normal" :)

That's the great thing about the USPCC factory cut deck. Sometimes it's only when you don't see the gimmick that it all makes sense, if that makes sense.

I've not used a stripper deck for years, I had a Paul Daniels one when I was a kid which came with some routines but I thought that after learnng SOH proper, I would have no need to use one, but looking at the reviews of this DVD and the contents, I'm tempted to nab myself one.

so i bought one to check it out and tried to use it for sankey's version of Triumph, but for some reason I cannot consistently strip out the appropriate amount of cards. Half the time more than half are still face up and it's frustrating. Any tips?

Thumb and middle finger right at the front of the deck. Other thumb and middle finger right at the back. The rest is really just practice. You'll get the right "feel" when it's working and after a while you don;t need to look.

Hi all.
I got this DVD last week and thought I would bump up this review. I think because when reviews get old many think they maybe past their sell by date or just old tricks.

STRIP will never fall into that category in fact none of the BBM DVD’s ever will in my view.

I have never been a fan of the Stripper deck but I got this DVD as a teaching aid for my son!!! WRONG!!! He has not seen it yet because I am using it. I think because in the past I have seen the stripper deck used so badly I have avoided it. This DVD does give you excellent ways to use the deck and idea’s for your own methods also what NOT to do. Well worth a look and you get a free deck as well.

I give it 9/10

Take care all.
